Apologies for the very slow reply on this one. Opening and Closing managed to fix one of the orders however the rest are stuck and like you said @Tharindu Illangasinghe will likely need a data fix as they were transacted long before Apps 9 UPD 8 came out.This is something that I will discuss with the business and see how they want to deal with the residual WIP.RegardsNathan

It might be a data fix that is required to fix the others as for example we have one where we had an operation assigned to an outside work center but in 2011 it seems someone switched it to an internal work center without un-shipping the WIP.Do you recommend I create a support case on these?RegardsNathan

Im not sure if this helps but ideally, when the CO is delivery confirmed with differences and an invoice is created, the CO line status goes to ‘Invoiced/Closed’. Also, it is not displayed again in delivery confirmation of COs window. Undoing the CO is also not an option as the system doesn’t allow you to undo a CO which is delivery confirmed. May be you can try the following and see if this works; -create a credit invoice or correction invoice for the already invoiced qty of 3 (im not so sure if this is the right move but this is to balance out the finance side). -Then do an RMA from the CO line itself and change the qty to receive to 4 (so that the inventory is balanced). The system will give an informational message saying that you are receiving more than what is specified in the line but lets you to proceed. But here you will have to stop at ‘ReturnCompleted’ (if its acceptable by the business ofcourse). -Now that you have a qty of 4, process a new CO. Hope this helps. Thanks for
I have raised separate ticket for an issue before I found this one. My issue is around Scenario 6 where the line has been Invoiced/Closed. The odd thing here is that only 3 out of the 4 delivered got invoiced. 1 unit is still waiting for a Delivery Confirmation however can’t be confirmed due to the line status being Invoiced/Closed (right-click Delivery Confirmation makes it disappear but an F2 makes it reappear again so this is not being processed.I have a feeling that if I carry out the RMA solution stated in scenario 6 is that it will RMA the 3 that have been delivery confirmed but leave out the 4th which is delivered but not confirmed. The IFS guide seems to think that I can delete a customer invoice to then be able to Undo Delivery but having trouble finding how to do this. Thanks, got it now. It might have been possible to wait for the file not to be locked, instead of waiting for the application to close. But not all applications lock the files. So, a bit tricky to find a general solution perhaps. Anyway, you found a solution that works for you, great! The only other issue is that some people just like closing open windows saying IMPORTANT - DO NOT CLOSE THIS WINDOW. LOL! If only people could “read what it says”, eh? :) Exactly! Just an FYI, A small gotcha is that our users when using Foxit had their settings set to open PDF in a new tab and not a new window. The issue I found is that although the user closes the tab post-redaction the command window doesn’t shut as it’s expecting the application to close before it puts the changes into the XCM version so stays open. It was only when they viewed a comment file later that the redactions hadn’t been added. To get around this I have had the team update their settings in Foxit to ensure that each PDF opens in a new window. Regards Nathan Ah, tricky one! Glad do you found the cause of the problem and a workaround. So, did I understand it correctly that you are using a browser-based redlining/commenting software? Not browser based, fully fledged program however it allows you to open multiple PDF’s in different tabs within the application (if that setting is switched on). All I did was switch that off forcing it to open a new instance of Foxit every time

So my last communication with support ended with the following explanation.Answer 1)“However, for your questions, the script that you mentioned will be start all the servers (Nodemanager -> AdminServer -> Middleware server and httpServer). If you go to this path "IFS_HOME-> Instance -> #Instance# -> bin" you can find this script "start_all_servers.cmd". So the same thing can be done from this script “start_all_servers.cmd”.” Answer 2)“Furthermore, for you second question, if you can start the servers and run the application without the script you mentioned, then that will be fine to ignore. But as these scripts were provided by consulting teams, the best option is to contact them and edit the scripts.”So I am assuming that no one really knows what the “Starting Middleware Servers” script actually does and I just have to accept that deleting it will be fine.Either way the point here is that, if you are going from Apps 9 Update 10 → Update 16 and you have startup/shutdown
Small update, As this is the original startup/shutdown script I approached support for assistance in identifying the issue.So far all I have really been given is, remove this bit...IFS Starting Middleware servers... cd /d %DRIVE%:\IFS\IFSExt\%SID%\instance\%SID%\bin %JAVA_HOME%/bin/java -cp %DRIVE%:\IFS\IFSExt\%SID%/mw_home/mws/wlserver/server/lib/weblogic.jar weblogic.WLST %DRIVE%:\IFS\IFSExt\%SID%/instance/%SID%/bin/mws-startServer.py startall %PWD% cd /d %DRIVE%:%LOGFOLDER% ping -n 5 127.0.0.1 > nulNow removing this doesn’t seem to impact the startup/shutdown scripts and everything starts as it should.My question back to them isA) What does this bit do as it sounds like we don’t need it.B) What is the impact (if any) by not running this.Watch this space!RegardsNathan
So, testing later today turned into 4 months later but I can confirm that I am now happy to go live with Update 16 with this fix in place. All testing shows it works and hasn’t fallen over yet!Thanks again for the script @Mathias Dahl !

Hi Jo, User Record - (Solution Manager → Security → Users → Explore Users) - Find the current User ID e.g. USER123 - Right-Click the user - Change Active - Set as Inactive Person Record - (Application Base Setup → Enterprise → Person → Person) - Find the Person ID for the user e.g. USER123 - Remove old User ID from the field called User ID: - Save Record User Record - (Solution Manager → Security → Users → Explore Users) - Create the new User record (+) - Click on ‘Connect User to an Existing Person’ - Select the Person ID from the list - Change the Identity to the new User ID format you require. e.g. USERABC (Note: This will also auto-update the Directory ID and Database ID to match) - Save record Now Person ID - USER123 is linked to User ID - USERABC Regards Nathan

Hi Lukasz, Pretty much what I told the user already. The problem is, even changing the User ID by deleting and re-creating isn’t enough as the Person ID is still going to be the wrong also. When she searches for herself as a buyer or coordinator it will still pull the wrong Person ID (which is also linked to the employee record) meaning I would almost have to create her again from scratch. Not ideal. Would be an ideal feature but doubt enough people made the same mistake to warrant the hell that would be involved in coding it! Regards Nathan
That’s correct. My initial test seemed to work i.e. comment file shows text.xcm but when I edited it the batch file activated and opened it up in Foxit as the ORIGINAL was set to PDF allowing the user to then save as PDF to send to customer. I will hopefully run some further testing later today because I will want to run the batch file from a centralised network location rather than copying it to all local machines. Once I have it all proved out I will throw some details up. Regards Nathan
If you are looking to add a Total Row to the bottom of Gross Amt/Base a Matrix Element would give you that option under the dropdown ‘Show Summary’ however it requires a Y Axis as well which isn’t required on the List element. An alternative would be a combination of the List element that you have to display the breakdown per customer and then a Counter element to show the total next to it on the lobby. Hopefully there is a better solution that someone much more knowledgeable than me can provide! Regards Nathan
You are an absolute legend Mathias, I have just applied Apps 9 Update 16 into our test system (Currently on Update 10) and all of a sudden I am unable to attach documents due to an error relating to file types. It seems that back in the 7.5 days my predecessor realised we could use a PDF program called Foxit Phantom PDF to redact documents so needed to use .PDF for both Original and Redline (which we aren’t supposed to be able to do) but he found that by creating an extension of ‘PDF ‘ (space at the end) he could bypass the logic and get away with using the PDF extension twice. I can only assume this little hack was locked down between update 10 and 16 (Apps 9) as if I try to create a new extension with a space it gives me an error. Now with your script I can modify the extensions in EDM_FILE from ‘PDF ‘ to ‘XCM’ and still give my users the ability to edit in Foxit and also have the ability to view/e-mail the documents in the correct format. 10/10

Hi @JULIAN, I kind of went down that route already and identified (using debug tool) that it calls customer_order_pricing_api.calc_sales_price_list_cost__ however a little unsure how to leverage that during the migration job. If you have more information (maybe screenshots) on how you managed to get around it it would be much appreciated!
