For the Ubuntu server, nothing. Just do whatever you do to your DNS records/network setup, and reboot the server. It will work as nothing changed.For the Management Server though, you need to make some changes. The Kubernetes config file qualifies the host by IP address, and not the DNS name. Therefore this file has to be updated.This file would be typically in two places in the Management Server:{IFSROOT}\config\kube\config %USERPROFILE%\.kube\configBoth these places will have to be updated.To update the first place, run this in PowerShell:cd {IFSROOT}.\main.ps1 -resource 'GETKUBECONFIG'This will get the new Kubernetes configuration from the MT server and place it in {IFSROOT}\config\kube\config.Then, you have to copy this file to the second place:PowerShell: copy {IFSROOT}\config\kube\config $HOME\.kube\, or, CMD: copy {IFSROOT}\config\kube\config %USERPROFILE%\.kube\.That’s it!Note: {IFSROOT} is the root directory of your management server directory hierarchy, typically called an IF

I know this thread is old, but hope someone else finds this useful.One of the reasons for MI_METADATA_NOTFOUND error would be that you are possibly working on a brand new component (e.g. CMODS), and this component is not properly registered in the database backend yet. Of course, when you put your changes in a delivery, the installer will automatically generate the registration code and register the component, provided that you have created a proper deploy.ini file in the component (See documentation).Until then, the remedy of course, is to manually register the component during the development:BEGIN Module_API.Create_And_Set_Version( 'CMODS', -- module_ 'Application Modifications', -- name_ '1.0.0', -- version_ 'Application Modifications 1.0.0', -- description_ NULL -- patch_version_ );END;/Once you register the component, and re-deploy the projection, you should see

How can see DB name and Data type in Aurena?

Hi,In Aurena, there is another layer of objects between the database views, and the client: Projections. As such there is no reason to have a one-to-one mapping between a database views and the client (The one-to-one mapping exists between a client element and a projection). However you can get a reasonable amount of information about each element in the page from the Debug Console (Also called the Support Console). Right alongside the menu item to enable the debug console you will see another menu called “Enable Log Window”. From the log window you can see which projections are called, as well as fine details of database execution via database traces.

Oracle Database Native Compilation

Hi Kevin, I hope someone who actually did this finds this question, but I could think of a few reasons why this would not have been done. Firstly, this requires special tooling, and we have to consider what happens when Installer runs. Secondly, we cannot debug natively compiled code. This could become a big problem in the most undesirable of times: when you have a problem in production. If we want to debug in production, we’ll then have two problems instead of one. Finally, and most importantly, the performance gains in Oracle natively compiled code is typically well apparent only when there is a lot of number crunching is going on in PL/SQL, and not much I/O. Even much of the online examples are full of matrix multiplications. But typically IFS code is full of pure SQL statements which translate to I/O and not a whole lot of computation in most cases (MRP, MS, Costing, and the likes barely being the exceptions). Another big part in IFS code would be string operations, and I would

Domain Name Change

Hi @shitanshu sharan, Even though you are asking this on the Service forum, I believe your change should affect to the whole suit of applications. A reconfiguration should be enough to configure the IFS Applications middle tier. This can be done via the IFS Installer. However, details will differ depending on the IFS Applications version. Then you may also have PrintAgent installations. You need to reinstall these PrintAgents, if any. If you use SSL, you must also get a new certificate for the new domain. You could add it to the middle tier the same time you are reconfiguring the application server. Depending on the products you use, you may need to take additional steps. Thank you. Immense slow startup of IFS10

Hi Filiep, I would like to know, Is common for all users? If it’s common for all users, do they share a common base profile? And how big is that profile when exported? Has someone tried to view the network connections on startup by enabling the debug console? (Hold shift during startup to bring up the language screen, and then double click with shift held on the banner). Have you tried to quantify the delay? How much time does it take to download the binaries before startup? Also, have you had a support ticket for this? I think that would be the best way to go. Regards, Sampath

How do I create an external URL containing multiple objects in a form window?

There is no standard functionality provided by IFS Applications to do this. However, there is a trick you could use to do this. (Caveat: This is cumbersome)Other answers Also see @Rusiru ‘s trick below. (Caveat: does not work if the form window does not have a corresponding overview) Also see@Lahirumala de Mel’s answer. (Caveat: Creates a new selection under the corresponding form’s navigator link, which you can delete later. Also does not scale well for large number of records)MethodFor example, if you want to create a link that populates two customer orders, follow these steps: Search them and populate in Customer Order window: Copy the address in the address bar (Note: if the address bar is not visible, use View > Address Bar or Ctrl+Shift+A). Deploy a new Entity via delivery APPS10

You have to manually add the contents of the *.cre file to the *.cdb file. You may need to maintain a separate *.cdb file per component per each customization. When the CDB file is created it should automatically be added to the install.tem. This manual step is needed so that we could manage new changes as CDB’s in the existing track, and graduate the changes to UPG files for the next track. "Request aborted" when executing a long running function from Enterprise Explorer

I just quickly went through the code, and as @Rusiru thinks, the code is doing a lot (sending print jobs, creating application messages), so the request that is aborted could be one of the multitude of things. This most probably needs a support ticket and I would encourage you to do so if not already done.

Thanks all! We are using Azure AD for logon, does that affect the solutions you have provided? We need last login date, independent of when this was. @SORBJAHAU Azure AD keeps various logs. See if this helps: Sign-in activity reports in the Azure Active Directory portal.

You may also try doing a reconfiguration. Since this is an issue in the middle tier you are better off not spending time deploying database objects which comes with the UPD.

Hi Mike,This looks like it would ideally qualify for a support case, because there could be a lot of reasons why this happens.If you get a thread dump from the IntServer, you would see exactly where the thread is stuck. If the thread is stuck waiting for network communication (e.g. SocketRead) while sending data to an SMTP server, we can safely assume that SMTP server is not responding. This is just an example, and it all depends on the stack trace and where the thread is stuck. Checking the logs may also help to narrow the issue down.Please report a support case if you haven’t done so already, so that product support can have a look.Regards,Sampath

If you are a customer who has IFS Support, IFS Support should maintain an up-to-date build for your instance which would have all the deliveries installed, if those deliveries were released. This error could be due to multiple reasons, including due to an Oracle bug (Oracle Doc ID 1951983.1) if you have Oracle Database - Enterprise Edition - Version 11.2.0.4 to 12.1.0.2 (Release 11.2 to 12.1). I suggest that you dispatch a support case to IFS Support, as this may need further investigations.

Move tab order in ver. 9

Hi Hans, welcome to IFS Community. Are you asking whether if you could change the tab order in an IFS Enterprise Explorer form (E.g. Inventory Part)? If that is your question, unfortunately this is not possible with the layout modifying functions available for user. This is done for good technical reasons. For example there could be forms where some tabs are dynamically loaded depending on the existence of a particular module (E.g. in Inventory Part window, the Manufacturing MRO tab would only be loaded if the MRO module is installed). In that case, the tab order can become ambiguous if one lets the user change it. However, the tab order can be very easily changed with a customization.
