Have you tried compiling invalid database objects?Sometimes all it takes is for a materialized view to be outdated for that link to go red. Unless you had a delivery or changed database objects I don’t really see the need to use it.
Can you post one of the links and how you are creating it in your lobby. I have found that sometimes the lobby is very sensitive to extraneous data.We use the Custom URL and then the URL box not the Web Access URL Address box. We are only going to internal addresses though. I am not familiar with those reports. Are you saying these both have the same report_id or the same layout_name? report_layout_tabCan you identify the package or the report_id?
I have never been able to import them anywhere. So I just open them up in a text editor. Most of the data id text based with only a few fields being binary.
Apparently there are conditions on the routing operations you are trying to copy. I think the warning message is trying to say that part characteristic values for the inventory part are being checked and are missing a value. The condition group is saying they are required or perhaps the part has conditions and those are not being copied. I am not familiar with this feature. So this is just a guess. Those conditions can be found in CONFIG_CONDITION_GROUP_TAB
Well, then that explains why they no longer have this limit. IFS is not populating this table which means they are not collecting and passing on this information from the client/website. It would be interesting to see what appears for data in the oracle database sessions, but I bet all you get is the server name of the web server and the user under the client_info. The webserver itself collects that data in the logs, but I don’t know how you can use that if IFS is not storing it somewhere in the database.It is odd though because the table I listed collects the directory id which is the value that used to be the web user id.
Are they not appearing like other users? Or are you referring to BizAPIs?User logons will appear in fnd_client_logon_tab. If they are using a BizAPI well that might be trickier, but you should see the user in the application messages I would think.
We don’t have the cloud version so I will be listing what is available in IFS 10.Look into IFS history log for custom logging options. Customer Order, Inventory Transactions, Part Costs, and Purchase Order Change Order are examples of some of the built in logging.In Solution Manager > Monitoring > Server Alert Log Categories sets some admin type of logging.
Look for a table named FND_Client_logon_tab.
I believe this upgrade also pushes you to unicode or double byte words if your database is not already using double byte words. Do as much of that work ahead of time in your database before the upgrade. This also means you should check how much RAM you are using. We found that we had to increase the amount of RAM by about 60%.
There is an Achive option you can purchase for the Migration Tool Kit. This will allow you to archive Customer Orders, Purchase Orders, Shop Orders, General Ledger, and Inventory Transaction History. This will greatly improve your times.I found that work orders were the cause of many of the performance problems we experienced when we did a similar upgrade. I wrote some custom code to archive a large chunk of work orders in the historical work order area. R&D did not like my script, but I shaved half the upgrade time off. I am sorry I have not been able to find that set of scripts.Another thing to look at is how many of the post scripts you really need to run. The ones that do not apply to you do not run those. You might have several patches to apply afterword. There is a feature where by you can combine some of these patches into one install. This saves the ifs service up and down time between patches.The work order tasks area when we did ours with the Beta version did not
That would seem to indicate that the window you are on does not have a column for COMPANY in the main view. Where are you entering this block?If you want the system default Company value I believe you need to use #COMPANY.
I believe the contact data you need to fill in is that on the Comm Method tab. You need to have a Communication method of E-Mail and I believe “Default per Method” and “Default per Method and Address” checked in addition to the value being the email address you want to send to. The address id needs to be the address that includes the Address Type of “Pay” or “Document”. Our addresses always have “Pay” and “Document” in the same address, that is why I don’t know that one for sure.
How are you triggering the email? Is it a routing rule or an event? Please send details on how you are triggering the email. I would use the IFS delivered event, PDF_REPORT_CREATED and filter the action on the column REPORT_TITLE.
Do you really want the emailing off in your Test environment? If off or addresses messed with, how do you tell if your events work before deploying to production? How do users find out about background job issues?We leave emailing on in Test. We also add the database name in the subject of the emails. Then we turn off most of the scheduled tasks only turning them back on for testing of that process.
That is a bigger issue I think than you realize. But you need to start in the Invoice_tab table and work backward. The Party_type and Creator columns tell you the source of the invoice.
You seem to be listing multiple issues in the same thread. I will only address the first one. The ACL and the certificate should be managed through the IFS Middleware Server Admin Console. The link to that in case you do not know is https://YourServer:48080/index_admin.html. This will be a login established when you created the instance. Typically, the user id is ifs.Once you log into the console click on Common on the left. Then click Database. You now have a row of buttons. You need to click the Update DB Wallet. Please try this in a test instance first if you have never done it before.This should clear up the certificate issue because the client cert is in the wallet now on the database and an ACL entry for your application server should now appear in the following query. By default you will not be able to run this as ifsapp. You need to either grant this to ifsapp or log into the database as sys or system.SELECT * FROM dba_network_acls;
Are these manual invoices or are do they come from a customer order, purchase order, or work order that was invoiced? It can make a difference. Also understand that a voucher maybe involved as well.Do you need tables or views? Views can be found by turning on the debugger and issuing a query.
What error message?What invoice image are you referring to?Are you in the .Net client or a web client?
What do you mean by BA report?How does the user input this value? Is it one of the report values?If a PDF is created you could create a custom action on the PDF_REPORT_CREATED system event.
Is there an element that is normally repeated, but in these instances it has no repeated elements. For example do you have something like a Purchase Order that has not lines?The other thought that occurred to me is that the error references “-1” as the invalid index. Is this perhaps a customer order and the index value being used is the line_item_no of the customer order line? If so -1 indicates the Package header line.
We have had that happen in multiple scenarios. The one scenario is the one described by Sajith above. Typically the Main process is at it’s upper memory limit when this happens.Another is after a Window patch install. We always reboot the server after the Windows patch and once in a while we have this problem on restart. We restart everything in this case.
I think the ratio of 3 to 4 works best, but it has been my experience that there are a couple of reports that have a different size making this challenging. I wonder if someone from IFS will reply with the size.

I don’t remember all of the triggers, but that essentially is a rolling log. For instance if you restart the server it will create a new log. It increments the number of the log file every time it restarts so that an individual log does not get to big. It does means though that the log can roll enough times to delete some data.
