Customer Withholding Tax Process in IFS APP10

In the Delivery Tax Information tab you enter information such as tax book reference. It is also possible to enable tax withholding for the selected delivery address of the customer by selecting Tax Withhold in the field Tax Withholding. First open the Customer window and select the customer. Then click the Address tab and select the address ID for which you want to enter tax information.On the Address/Delivery Tax Information tab:In the Company field, enter the company identity for which the tax rules apply. In the Tax Withholding field, specify whether or not the customer is subject to tax withholding. In the Tax Rounding Method field, select the tax rounding method to be used for the customer. In the Tax Rounding Level field, specify the tax rounding level to be used. In the Supply Country sub tab, Supply Country is automatically filled depending on the address of your company. You can also enter other supply countries if needed. Tax Liability Tax is default. Specify tax codes in th

@ANBR , I assume you used the link https://portal.ifsworld.com/ ? For me it seems to be working. Only when I use the link https://support.ifsworld.com/login/unsecured/common/scripts/Logon.page, I get the same error like you. I think that’s the old link.

@aafaveso I am just following this thread as a learning point and am curious to know if you managed to get sorted by now how to ‘switch to non default customer view’ inside the B2B portal for the external user? Apps9: GDPR requirements - Are there any options to purge data to comply with GDPR rules?

@BLLBrucemo just thought of adding my point here since I’ve seen my organization implement GDPR measures in IFS. We are trying to make sure I|FS doesnt keep records longer than required as per UK law. Am hoping there would be some systems option for purge or archvive. Has anyone else dealt with the same problem? Am thinking old HR records, customer contacts, attachments thay may show addresses etc. Do you mean keeping a record archived after the specified period? Let’s say an HR record, an employee certificate. What I understand is that the whole idea is to not to archive, but to purge after that period. We’ll only know that there was a certificate for employee X stored in the past, but nobody can access it anymore now. I think it is perfectly addressed by IFS within its capabilities. So you will definitely know that IFS will never keep the record longer than expected. Hope this helps. Happy weekend!

IFS Objects to which Document Text can be added

…. 25 Shipment Header27 (and maybe others too?) @RobinHunter, So Shipment lines are not an option right? I was trying to find a way to add Doc Text for Shipment Delivery Note, but couldn’t at line level. Even trying to transfer the Doc Text through the source CO lines didn’t work for me. Do you think I missed something or is it the standard behavior? I am using IFS App10 UPD9Do you think I might be able to get an internally developed customization if IFS dosen’t provide it for Shipment line level?

Procurement Planning in IFS

Since I didn’t get any response from the IFS experts in this Community, did my own research by digging deeper into ‘Strategic Procurement’ capabilities in the new 21R1 and thought that these capabilities ideally address the need for a non-manufacturing organization like ours. Also thought of posting it here at a high level, thinking someone else could benefit as well. :) Mainly this module (located in Procurement / Strategic Planning in IFS navigator) addresses the need to have a central hub for Procurement planning compared to earlier IFS versions where these capabilities were spread across different parts of the application. I identified 2 main capabilities in this module. Category Management This lets you classify your purchase parts into categories (and subcategories and so on) grouped under similar traits. E.g. ‘Segment’ IT > ‘Family’ Software > ‘Class’ Business Function Specific Software > ‘Commodity’ HR Software Located inside Procurement / Strategic Planning / Procurem

Inter site profitability postings

Use the Inter-site Profitability feature on the Company/Distribution/Order tab to perform the profitability analysis on all the sites within a company If the Inter-Site Profitability option on the Company/Distribution/Order tab has been selected, the transactions and posting types dedicated only to inter-site profitability will be triggered when internal customer orders are delivered A prerequisite to analyzing sites as profit centers is that internal prices must have been used and controlled on the supplying sites. The normal price search used on customer orders will be used to find an internal price. The sales price on the internal customer order line will be used to post internal revenue on the supply site and the internal revenue received on the demand site. The inventory part value on the supply site will be used when posting internal cost of sale on the supply site and also when posting the internal cost of sale received on the demand site. List of available locations

@First Employee , apologies if you think that I didn’t get your full question. In my understanding, ‘Inventory Part Putaway Zones’ screen (mentioned in my 1st reply above) does that job of showing all the locations you want per part. If you are thinking of an overview page for all locations available for all parts, I don’t know anything else in IFS but ‘Inventory Locations’ . There you can query by specific criteria. In general, when our business is performing putaway during receipts, my colleagues have never raised the need for such a page in IFS since we can get an LOV with available locations. I beg your pardon if I couldn’t fully solve your query. You may contact IFS Support directly if you think this dosen’t help. Enzo

additionally @Tenecia.Seeley , please see the last reply on this thread (note that the correct answer chosen is actually not correct) My point is, the last reply actually elaborates that even if you need to count out the reserved quantity, IFS won’t let you do so.

Hi @Tenecia.Seeley I think it’s fundamentally incorrect if a counting report / cycle counting overlooks reserved stock. I looked under the ‘Exclude stock’ in create count report, there’s no such option to exclude reserved stock. Enzo

@Rangi Wijewardana thanks for the answer. Do you mean setup a custom event? We can explore that. Adding a prefix is possible when I do it manually. So I suppose it should be possible to automate too as I understand. And if I don’t go with a prefix, adding the front zeros in XB0000767 seems also not possible :(

Shipment ID's on Freight Purchase orders

Hi again @DBowden , assuming your answers to my questions above are ‘yes’ and also assuming the Invoicing Supplier in the PO line is as same as in the Charge line, I figured that this Spend Report can be created through IFS Business Reporter. Its easy - all you have to do is create 2 Information Sources each for PO line and the Charge line, then add a filter for the Demand Code (as mentioned above) and Charge Type as desired, drag and drop the columns you need from each of the 2 information sources selected. Please let me know if you need further details on how to run this Spend Report in IFS BR.
