What causes the following error message? How do we prevent receiving it? We receive this message when there is only one person updating the record. Never when there is more than one user editing it at the same time.

Is there a single screen to see all existing configurations ? Also can we export/import configurations from one environment to another ?

We are desiring to setup multi site planning with 2 sites and use distribution orders to generate supply/demand between the sites. When I run MRP I am failing to generate any distribution orders. Does a guide/instruction manual exist outside of the online help to ensure we are setting everything up correctly? 

Hi,  I just notice that in  Parts Master,  there is an attribute called “Allow Sub Lot”. and in “Part Lot Batch” screen, there is a “Sub Lot” Tab.But is there anyone know how a “Sub Lot” be generated? I tried split a shop order ;  partially receive a purchse order but the there is No sub-lot generated. is there any doc regarding this?   

Can you Change Sales Part number to point to different Inventory Part? We want to keep the sales part number but it needs to point to a different Inventory part, is this possible or do we have to create a new sales part number? Transactions already exist. what are my options? Thank you,

Hi,Is it possible to set certain defaults for a user.We would like certain order types to be set as a default depending on the User. 

 I would like to a quick report on the 12th of the month for the prior month.  So on April 12th it will run for the month of March.  On May 12th it will run for the month of Apr and so on.  This report is also run manually by the users.  Is there a way to dynamically set the From/To date to be the prior month or do I have to create  copy of this report with the dates dynamically set in the select statement?  I obviously don’t want two exact reports because of having to remember to make all changes twice.  Below is the a screen shot of the server task schedule.

I was looking for input and an explanation of the IFS Manufacturing Cloud Version.  I’m hoping to understand how long the cloud version has been readily available and if the base code behind it was redo from version 10.  If there are many companies currently using it(let’s say more than 50), or is it still in its infancy stage?

Has anyone implemented work instructions within IFS and or attached fillable PDF forms attached to shop orders that when submitted attach to the shop order they originated from.  Trying to create work flow that assemblers, techs and engineers can verify the work being done is being documented within the shop order thereby eliminating the paperwork associated with creating build binders /  work travelers to a paperless e-traveler / build binder.

Pick by Choice is a functionality introduced in App10, there we have the option to select the scope of the choice we should be given when making the choice. My question is when I allow this functionality to be used on stock for which the pick list has been created and printed how does it work when a change is made to the existing picking plan of that stock since the previous pick list has been already printed.

Hi,Is it possible to create a default value for a persistent custom field? I want to add the date (sysdate) automatically when a new line is created in the CF. I tried to create one myself with an PL / SQL Expression but when I’m trying to synchronize it’s not possible. See below.  Also, is it possible to make the field not editable before the line is saved? See below example with user. This is also created as a persistent custom field which auto fetch the user_id. However, it’s possible to change. We would like to remove the editing option in the field. Meaning the user id is auto filled automatically with no possibility to edit.

Hi,Is anybody using conditional codes for serial tracked items? I am wondering why if I change condition code from the one that does not have Availability Control ID to one that has it – system assigns that Availability control, but if I do it opposite way – from the one that has AC ID to the one that does not have it, system does not remove the AC ID? We have picking days set as 3 days but all Shop Orders seem to finishing just in time for the demand.  We want stock to be on our shelves 3 days before it needs picked for the demand shop order or customer order.  Anyone else having this issue ??? Or have we a setup incorrect ?? 

We are looking to see what others may be doing when creating the ACH files out of IFS and then encrypting them before they are sent to the bank.   When we generate an ACH File  in APPS10, the file is created properly and it is placed in a specific location on the network.  They would then need to run it through an program to encrypt it, before they send it to the bank.  However, they would like to eliminate the need to have that file on the network first.  This would make it more secure knowing that no one could have opened it and changed it.    

In reading the help on two-stage picking, if the checkbox on the site is not checked, IFS should allow single stage picking, which it is not.  Our users are still getting a pop up when it’s not checked for our Shipment Types. However, when using one of our shipment types (210) it doesn’t popup at time of picking and I think it’s due to the Source Ref 1, which our other shipment types don’t have. There isn’t much documentation on this field, but I am trying to figure out if other application settings are hindering the ability of this field. Has anyone had experience with this field?  If so, can you provide details on why we still get a “two-stage” picking pop up when it’s not checked. Application Base Setup > Enterprise > Site > Site (Sales & Procurement Tab)
