Hi can anyone explain the difference between shop order total standard cost, shop order total estimate cost and shop order total actual cost?when reviewing the data they are all different and don't understand what data it is pulling from.regardsJamie

Community, will “Plan Alternate Component” check box should be checked when running MRP? if i want the alternate component to be involved in MRP calculation?  we did this, but looks like nothing changed, do you experience the same? Thank you.

Hello.I have a BOM that containsComponent 1 Reserve/Issue Method = Reserve/backflushComponent 2  Reserve/Issue Method = Manual (Qty Per Ass = 1)Both components are allocated to an operation (Qty Per Ass = 1) I have created a shop order / released the shop order and reserved the shop order. The result is that component 2 is fully reserved.When I try to approve the operation for qty of ‘1’ I receive the following error (expected) I manually issue a qty of ‘1’ of this component and try to approve ‘1’ against the operation again - It works as expected.I try to approve an additional ‘1’ to the operation against (total 2) and it allows me, even though there isn't enough components issued to allow the approved qty - I believe this should error???The

Hi, I have 3 questions on Element Designer.   In the Element Designer, there is a Form Mapping section. I would like to know how to use it. I found an example in the Bar chart ‘Vacancies Progress’ which is mapped to ‘frmTabHeadCountPlan.  But in the Head Count form, I have not found anything related to this lobby element… In the Navigation section, I would like to have information on the ‘Use own process’ checkbox and its Process id. In a Bar chart, in the Data section, what exactly is the ‘Transpose data’ checkbox for ? Thanks   Michel

Hello Community,We are using IFS APPS 8. What is Back Fulsh , Auto Report of Operations and Simplified Material check and its uses while reciveing shop orders. For teting purpose I have create a shop order with Lit Size of 1000.Then I have manually reserved this shop order with only one qty  of component parts in Material Tab.Then I have Issued manually One qty.Then I have reported total 1000 qty.Then I have Checked Simplified Material check option in Receive Shop order window in Material and Operations and received manually 1000 qty. This behavior of shop order receipt does not required coponent parts stock in system.If only one component is reserved and issue then user can receive 1000 qty shop order in system. I need to know what is the purpose of this Simplified Material check tab. RegardsDeepak 

Hi everybody! I have a problem with setting the expiration date of the inventory part in stock. In my work, we have some items the quality department need to change the expiration date label when they are near to the due date. for example, we have a tank the expire in two days but a person have to go to that tank and see one by one are going to expire to  begin a process of maintenance and put a new label with new due date. so, we want to put the expiration date of the tank on IFS and when the due date is near, we know which of them need to have a new label instead of going to search tank by tank by ourselves.

Error: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host while fetching General Ledger report. I am getting this error after 15 mins of transaction. Checked the JTA configuration. <Timeout Seconds> = 36000s, <Abandon Timeout Seconds> = 900s. I changed <Abandon Timeout Seconds> value to 1200s as well still it gave error after 900s.

Hi, Can someone give me some insights on the difference between unit cost and part cost? If I manufacture a standard part, with labour and material, for the first time, it looks like IFS puts the standard cost into the unit cost after receiving (I did not do any calculation up front). This value is ok, do I need to do the part cost calculation? What’s the consequence If I don’t? Configurable parts, with standard cost and cost per config setting, seem to have that cost on the unit cost. If i make a config for the first time, IFS adds the cost in the unit cost. Do I need to do the calculate cost up front in the DOP of interim header?

We delivered a few customer order lines with the Supply Code of Service Order. We now need to undo the delivery. I opened the customer order in Undo Customer Order Delivery.When I right click on one of the order lines, the Undo Line Delivery menu option is greyed out/disabled. When I right click on the header and click on the menu option Undo Delivery, I get the Error Message “Cannot undo customer order delivery for customer order lines with supply code Service Order.” Any ideas on how to work around or resolve this issue so that the lines can be un-delivered? thanks!

IFS Product Structure Components has a field “Qty per Assembly”. This is converted into “Qty per Assembly” on Shop Order Materials. The Shop Order can have a Lot Size and this leads to a “Qty required” on Shop Order Materials. This is OK for UoM PCS, but how would this work with UoM meters? Example: Component UoM = “m” and “Qty per Assembly” = 0,2 m. Lot Size = 5 so my “Qty required” = 1 m, but Shop Order doesn’t need 1 m. It needs 5 x 0,2 m!

we are getting following error and shop order is not getting reserved. any cluesSteps :RMB (in header)> Material Actions> Reserve(reserve window pop-up) Create Pick List box is checked (new window-shop order pick list options)  Pick list per: Location Group Print Pick List checked OK Following Error appear Shop order is not ‘Reserved’ no picklistIFS10-UPD9, first product structure in IFS10 but we have several Shop Orders processed successfully in IFS10.verified stocks for both material and master part. Master part is in ‘Buildable’ status 

Hello, Is it possible to show/get the shop order number on to the customer order lines screen ?I know I can get that by going into IMAP, but is there an API call or something by which I can show the shop order number on the customer order lines ?

When we make the forecast status as active budget we can use an approval template to authorize the budget as an active budget. But this can be removed by users.Is there a better way to handle this as in Purchase Requisition authorization where authorization is enabled via a rule.

Can somebody please help me with change of lot batch using shop order method or any easier method which can be used to change from one lot batch to another ? Example: I have Part A with current lot batch = ABC 123 and I would like to change Part A current lot batch to a New lot batch = CAB 456 How can this be done via the Shop Order or any other easier method?

Hello everyone.  We’re on IFS 10 update 11.  We’ve recently noticed an issue with part revisions that has us very concerned.  We’ve reported the issue to IFS but haven’t got any resolution or information about what may be causing this issue.  Wondering if anyone else has seen this issue.When an Engineering Part is up-rev'd and transferred, the most current existing Inventory Revision should be phased out and a new Inventory Revision created with a new phase in date correlating to the new Engineering Revision. Current orders that are in process such as started Shop Orders, or closed orders such as Purchase Orders, Shop Orders, Structures and Inventory Parts in Stock should retain their revision. However, we have observed that the revision of the parts on closed PO's, Shop Order Structures, and Inventory in stock are all updated. Instead of the current Inventory Part Revision with the former Engineering Revision being phased out, it is being overwritten.

Is there a mechanism to associate specific lot/batches in inventory with specific customers or customer groups so that the customer order reservation process reserves from specific lot/batches before trying to reserve from others? We are trying find a way to associate specific lots that have the same part number but an alternate structure (e.g. the alternate structure contains a coupon on the packaging) to specific customers so that it reserves the correct lots automatically.

Hello All, We are running client IFS version 9.0.52.0 and server version 6.90.19.0 I am looking to see if we can utilize the functionality of Business Mail. However, I have some questions. Is there a document that explains how the Business Mail works? How can I connect the Business Mail to the Business Opportunity? Is there an email app that I need to load in my Outlook to be able to connect to IFS? Any help will be beneficial for our team.

We are receiving customer-owned inventory from a customer.  We cannot figure out how to set everything up in IFS Apps 10.  This is inventory that was not supplied by us.  It was supplied by other suppliers of our customer.  We have worked on this for almost two days and cannot get it figured out.  We keep getting asked about a customer and customer order.  When we finally think we have it we get an error message saying we cannot receive the quantity in because we didn’t supply that quantity.
