I need some advice from a production schedule guru. I am running a production schedule and midstream, I want to change a component in the structure and then keep running the production schedule.  The component is a lot controlled item.  Any ideas as to how best do this?  I know I can edit components midstream but I need to do a report against the production schedule to allow this.  Also, I am swapping one lot controlled component to another component.Any guidance you may have will be appreciated!

24.1.2In the Quantities panel of the Manual Issue Shop Order Material Line I am seeing red lines in fields that may be indicating an availability issue, but there is no issue, there is plenty of material available.One material line showing the red lines.A second material line on the same shop order not showing red lines.Any ideas?

Hello,I would like to reserve parts link to several operations of one Shop Order using Shop Floor Workbench . But not all the parts of the SO.It seems I can reserve all components or the components of only one operation. 

Hello IFS community,  we are wondering (during the training of end users), how come that different people see different views on DOP Structure. What is it caused by? Here is the view of one person: And here is another one  And here another one: And yet the same DOP over and over again… ideas? 

Our assembly process requires in-house painted parts.  But historically our paint process has been outside of IFS.  Sometimes we paint a full product, sometimes we paint the front of a product, so we’d like to track the ‘painted’ surface area on each part that is painted.Where would be the recommended fields to keep this information stored within IFS?

If a Sales Part exist for this Characteristic Combination it will helps during Customer Order entry. Every time to search for existing Combinations is not comfortable and faulty.

My company recently migrated to IFS Cloud 23R1 (from 7.5, quite a leap).As part of this process, we identified a need to restrict access to some of our product data, so that only a select number of individuals have access to it.We have reviewed the options of populating by Site /by Company but it seems the tables we use Engineering Part/Master Part/Inventory Part would still be visible regardless of which of these we use.Do any of your users segregate Design Data access by product line (or similar)? Is it managed via a property/via site etc? Thank you for any help you can offer.

Hi all,We are setting up a Kanban Reorder Point Request Schedule that runs at a defined interval.Sometimes, however, a shortage or internal shortage (e.g., stock not available at the correct supply location) can occur.This may only be discovered during production.Is there a standard way in IFS Cloud to: Alert users proactively when such a shortage situation arises or other error without checking every time the background job results? When a user who has the access to this screen tries to open it, it fails to load with this error. I have tested this with another user account with the same permissions, etc and I can access the screen and do a search. I have tried going to this screen with debug console on with the user account that fails to load it, and nothing is output to the console.IFS 10 update 21, hosted internally.Any ideas what could be wrong please for this one user? Thanks  

In IFS Cloud documentation under NATO Stock Number (NSN) it states the following:It is possible to connect the parts in IFS/Part Catalog to a NSN. Hi All,We need to add some custom fields to Control Plan Template and have those fields copied to the created Control Plans when a template is applied (either by copy or by reference).We have already added several custom fields to QmanCtrlPlanTemplate and are using a workflow with the ControlPlanPurchasingHandling API – Update QmanControlPlanPurchs to copy these values to QmanControlPlanPurch during template application. This workflow is working fine.However, we also need to add a custom field to QmanCtrlPlanTempLine.When we use the ControlPlanPurchasingHandling API – Update QmanControlPlanPurchs with the nested entity ControlPlanLine to copy this custom field, the Template ID and Template Revision No are removed from the created Control Plan.It seems this happens

Hello, When returning parts to stock using the return tab in the work task (work order) there is no field to choose the revision number of the part being returned (in many cases the part returned is of a previous revision to the currently valid and could be components not related to a customer order) Is there a way to specify the revision of the part being put in stock when doing the return in work orders?(We are using cloud version) Thanks in advance for your responses.

Production schedule question.  I have a production schedule part that can run on 3 different lines. On the three production lines upon which I can run the part, I use a percentage of .33.33 and .34.  If the total amount of the part to be produced obtained from the part's master schedule is not easily divisible by 3 and I run MS Calc, I am getting a mystery 1 unit production schedule.  Can anyone explain this?  I think it is due to the fact that the total doesn't yield a whole number when multiplied by the percentage and yields a 1 piece production schedule to ensure that the system is planning for ALL of the requirement.  For example, MS says we need 903,168 pounds.  That means production line A (33% and Line B (33%) get 298,045 each (remainder of .44 ponds each) and line C gets a production schedule of 307,077 pounds (remainder of .12 pounds.  The remainders of all 3 lines add up to 1 pound.  Both the production schedule item and the component item have quantity calc

Why wouldn’t the “Refresh Data” action have been granted as part of the PartCostHandling projection? I have users that get a No access error when accessing the Part Cost page.However, they can click “Close” and access the page.I beleive that this is due to not having the “RefreshData” action granted in the PartCostHandling projeciton.I am not sure why it was set up this way and before I make I change, I’m trying to determine why this would have been revoked in the first place. What are some of the reasons this action shouldn’t be granted to indivdiuals that have acess to part cost handling?Why wouldn’t this action be granted as part of the projection?

I have a customer that has a requirement to send detailed cost information of their parts manufactured in Mexico to the Mexican Government.  To do this, they use an excel spreadsheet that is used to load into a customs broker system called Aranxel. The standard report, “Cost Build-Up Report - High Detail”, contains all the necessary information but it is meant to be printed; not into Excel.  The “Structure Multi-Level” display shows all the breakdowns but it does not include the cost bucket breakdowns. The “Part Routing Costs per Cost Bucket” display does not explode through the product structure. Does anyone know of a standard query that can exreact multilevel cost information by bucket?  Alternatively, has anyone developed such a query?   Here is the format used currently:

Community, for new purchase part that received into stock, system does not automatically enabled the supplier warranty, this works fine for those parts that will be built onto final assembly and dellivered to customer ultimately,  but not for the parts that used in facility. any settings we missied?  we are on APP10. 

I am using APPS10 and I need to identify the pdfs that are printed automatically by IFS (not instigated by the user). Examples;A delivery note is printed automatically when a customer order is released A Pick List can be printed automatically if the “Shipment Type” is defined correctly. Customer Statements are printed automatically (if the “Output Media” in the Customer screen is set to “Printout”)But there are many more that are auto printed that I don’t know aboutThere is nothing in report rules that tells me what I need to know. In Print Jobs for pdfs that are printed by IFS,  the “Ordered By” column gives the name of the person logged in to IFS when it was printed but that is not what I want either.I want to differentiate between print jobs that occur when the print dialog box appears and “OK“ is clicked (see below).Is there a way I can find this in IFS? We use a setup with standard cost for manufactured parts and FIFO for purchased parts.We have two questions related to this.Is there a way to use current FIFO value for purchase components in std cost calculation for manufactured parts? Part numbers sometimes shift from purchased to manufactured and the other way around. You cannot change method unless you empty stock. Is there a way to change method without empty stock and lose original receipt date and last activity date?

Community, We are in APP10/UPD9,  We realized Project MS part behavior is different from MS part. Regardless the promise method, you can always enter the qty in customer order line greater than the available qty within DTF and PTF, in other words, the demand quantity entered in customer order line is not restricted by DTF&PTF. is this a bug or as designed? Thank you.

Hi Folks We have three Strength Factors set up in IFS10 (0, 1 & 2) but nobody can tell me what they are used for, could anyone shed some light on this filed or point me in the direction of some documentation to help explain its use? It does change the Duty/Excise payable amount but I can’t work out the calculation.Any help would be appreciated

What projection permission is needed to view only work task in Aurena IFS10 ?

We have an OP part causing issues creating a HAR. There is concern that there's an issue in IFS regarding this part number (#######-###-OP). I don’t believe It should have the -OP appended to it at this point given that parts are inventory. As I understand, the OP is added when parts are sent out for Outside Processing and removed when parts come back from that processing.

We are planning to upgrade our Apps10 PROD environment to the Remote Deployed 23R2 Cloud Setup soon and I want to clarify if IFS has any restrictions or suggestions NOT TO USE Oracle Enterprise Manager Database Express with the Cloud DB.
