Employee Labor Overhead Cost Incurred for Setup Time but not Run Time

Apps 10 Update 8 EE. Part is serialized and set to Cost per Serial. Site/Company is configured to use Employee Salary Information for the Labor Rate and the Labor Overhead is using the OH Rate (150%) defined on the Cost Source.

One shop floor employee working on one operation on one shop order.

  • When setup time is clocked via the SFWB, Labor Overhead cost is incurred.
  • When run time is clocked via the SFWB, Labor Overhead cost is not incurred.

Any quick ideas why no overhead is incurred on run time?

This issue is resolved with Sev 2 UPD9 patch for Bug ID 153308.

Hi Matt,

Have you checked the cost source defined for the OH element? Maybe the cost source of the OH element is cost element ID 210 (Labor Setup Cost)?

Best regards,
Pabasara

Turns out to be a bug that was patched in Apps10 UPD9, customer is at UPD8.

From the case notes: In APP10 the labor overhead cost bucket 221 is not reported in labor history after starting/stopping production in shop floor workbench.  It was showing in APP8 but is no longer showing in APP10.
