Did you check if the IFSCONNECT User (or any other User with which the Application is logged in Time Clock Interface) has the HR Application Manager checked?

This checkbox is needed for Time Clock and the USER connected to Time Clock.

Scrolling through interesting questions on this forum and even if you are satisfied with the solution I would like to comment on this.

The intention is not to use the HR admin checkbox on Time Clock users. The HR admin check box should really be restricted to “real administrators” only. In Sweden we get problems with GDPR revisions and such if we handle it like this. Even if that user only logs on to Time Clock someone might get hold of the password and log on to the full application and then the person can see ALL information on the employee.

Instead access should be given with an appropriate access role.

I think your problem in this case is caused because you have given the Time Clock user person access with an access role that is not correct.

It is impossible to say exactly what is missing without looking into the setup, but if you have restricted access to absence registration in your access roles you must give the TIme Clock user access within that area.

You don’t say in your question what action the employee did - swipe the card for IN, IN Absence or anything else?

Just to give an example:

A common problem is when an absence request is created from TIme Clock.

In this case the absence request is automatically set to status “Confirmed”.

If the TIme Clock user is not connected to an access role that has an access attribute that allows the user to change status on the absence request from registered to confirmed you will get an error.
