Hello NASEEM,

When you define your absence limit configuration, you can specify the amount increasing available absence limit in negative value as below. Then you will be able to report excess leave in addition to the defined limit.

In such case, if your employee has already taken excess leave in 2020, that excess amount will be reduced from the allocated limit for this year.

Probably in your case, your example employee has taken extra 0.5 leave last year. Therefore, when generating this year leave balances, that 0.5 has reduced from the allocated limit and therefore, it should have generated the limit as 21.5.

That is the functionality with Negative carry-over.

Hope this clarifies your concern.

Best Regards,

Lasanthi

Not solve it really, but used the  absence limit parameter form absence window and extend his limit with the missing amount.
