All, on the serial object page there is a section on the general tab called Position. I want this data on a separate page so that it is easier for the user to see the data and edit the data. What is the best method to use here? Do I need to create a totally new custom entity? All help very appreciated.

The method I have used is to duplicate the Serial Object page and remove the elements in this duplicate that the user will not want to see. I have then in the Navigator Designer added this duplicate page so that user can select it. This way the view is easier for the user and the data can be amended.

let us break the need into smaller chunks (Assume you are on IFS cloud, and using terminologies related to Cloud)
- Requirement 1: to hide the Position Field or its related fields - Use the page designer to do so . Simple and achievable.
- Requirement 2: to See this info in a different view & Requirement 3: To Edit the fields (elsewhere)
- Option 1: Create a Custom Page, and check if these are referenceable as custom fields. Involves some technical dependencies, if they are available for referencing or not, and then to add as custom fields in the custom entity. Note, such fields will not be editable, thus rendering requirement 3 (editing)
- Option 2: Use the Serial Objects (Overview screen) to fulfill the same requirement. No need to going through additional custom pages , just use what is available in the standard product. Meets Requirement 2 and 3, both.
- Note: With Option 2 above, Requirement 1, is just a visual hide, and may or may not be set.
