IFS assyst

Does anyone currently utilize PowerBI for their reporting? Would the assyst community find it beneficial to potentially share some of the different templates you've created or structure you’ve put together to present useful and efficient reports?Thought it could be beneficial to center some of that in a community conversation thread as opposed to having to schedule calls with other IFS assyst customers through our account managers etc! Full disclosure we are in the exploratory stages of PowerBI as we transition from on-prem to SaaS with our assyst instance. Very interested in seeing what people have done and built, and of course if anyone is willing to collaborate and share all the better!​​​​​

We recently updated to the version 25R1. Unfortunately, we are now experiencing an issue where all object searches display a maximum of 20 objects as results. We cannot figure out what is causing this. In the previous version, everything worked fine. It seems that a parameter is either new or incorrectly set. Does anyone have an idea what we can check? The IFS support has not been able to assist us so far (which is a bit frustrating). Many thanks for your help!

we'd like that a knowledge procedure is shown in assystnet while an incident is being logged. In the wiki we read that it is possible but we didn't find how to configure it. Can you help to find the related wiki page or give us some instructions?

We’ve got some Service Request S records stuck open. The Tasks are complete but it looks like the complete stage was missing when they were created. There is no resolution open available on the S record in order to resolve them manually either. Any ideas on what we could do? Cancelling would send a confusing email to the user which we are keen to avoid.

Is there a list of known problems that we could look at before submitting a ticket to IFS support? It would be great to evaluate whether it’s a known issue before opening up a ticket. 

Hello,I’m working on Styling self-service portal, I have some questions below and would appreciate a solution.Need to change the "Favorites" sub-title to "My Favourites" just like how it is displayed in the menu, refer image-1 attached. Refer image-2 attached, (a) we need the boxes present on the below side in the image, to have outlines with color:            My Open Events - #3B86C7            My Decisions and Authorizations - #18A88A            My Reported Events - #F26B51            Major Incidents - #D91670Just like the boxes present in the above in the image.    (b) And the images associated with the boxes should be changed to the images present in          the above.     (c) Also, the text inside the boxes should be wrapped. i.e.            My Open Events, My Decisions and Authorizations, My Reported Events, Major Incidents -                     should be wrapped.

I know that there is a feature in Assyst 11.6 to add additional affected user but we are running 11.4.3 version which does not support this feature. We have a use case where end user will be creating a request in AssystNet and will input a additional affected user in a custom lookup field and we need to add that user as a additional affected user using custom script. Did anyone achieve this using custom script using restAPI or through ETM. Would appreciate help on this.

Assyst v11.5.2SmartMail v1.12.5 We are developing a new process in assyst that all starts with a new custom logging form within assystNet. The users completes the questions and then has to attach a document before being able to submit the request. After the request has been logged, the attachment(s) that the user has attached to the request needs to be attached to an email that is sent externally. How can I automate this please by using AP rules and SmartMail without someone having to manually trigger this by taking a specific action and select the attachment? The aim is to automate as much of this manual process as possible

We’re new to the use of the Service Catalogue so are still finding our feet with it all so apologies for the newbie question.When creating an offering you have to specify a default item and category value, even though the actual values can be part of a list.  We’re finding that, in a few instances, staff are just accepting the default values when filling in the form and not actively selecting the required value.Is there a way to have the offering form display a blank value in those fields so that it prompts (forces?) a value to be selected?Thanks

Hi there, I was wondering if it was possible to include the link of the event in question in an Action Template? I’ve tried many things but it does not seem to work for different reasons. Here are some things that I have tried:Pasting the link in the template’s description and modifying the link’s event id with the current [EVENT_ID] value. Using the Action Template’s built-in text formatting URL. For the link here I used the same formatting as in #1. Is there a way to do this?

It would be useful for “OR “ and “IN” functions could be used in expressions. For example within customiser forms, a visibility expression of: $W("Lookup Field 1")="Value1" OR $W("Lookup Field 2")="Value2" Thus negating the need for the creation of multiple fields to perform the same function.Anyone else think so? Hello I have been trying to create a relation between all Items to build the CMDB,  although it is available in the Item form I haven’t found a way to do it in bulk  what I need to update Relations  I generated DWM file but there was no file for the relation I have tried to do it through AssystETM with different channels but couldn’t find the fields for relation to link an item to another item I see the relation through “Item Relation” but there is no source and destination on the assyst Resource “Item Relation”AssystETMany idea on how to link it,Thank you in advance for your

We are just starting to test the IFS assyst Self Service App (version 1.5.0.51).I’ve been advised by the IFS Service Desk that FAQ categories are not visible in the app. That being the case I am wondering why FAQs is a menu item on the map.You can’t see anything to select on the FAQ page and the search button takes you back to the home page.Is anyone else using the app who can explain what the FAQ page is used for? Have we missed some configuration steps? 

Hello,I want to create a monthly event for items due to expire within the next 6 months, firslty how would I just display items where the expiry date is in the next 6 months and then how would I add all those items shortcodes into a remarks field? May be missing something obvious here but data only shows when I add the [0] at the end of the variable.Thanks

Hi,We recently upgraded our environment to 11.5.2, and with that we re-launched the assystNet portal with a new homepage and layout.The problem that we are now finding is that some of our users are not seeing the new Homepage, but the old one in the new format - which isn’t giving them a good experience of the portal.Some users are able to resolve this by clearing browser cache, or clicking the Reset homepage to system default - but what would be good to do is force the default assystNet homepage out to ALL users.Has anyone come across this issues before? Does anyone know if it is possible to force the default homepage to apply to all users? If so, how? Thanks in advance. 

Hello,Is it possible to filter the available options of a custom lookup field when the lookup list is custom-defined.Specifically, I would like to know whether custom lookup lists support any kind of filtering logic, or if filtering is only supported when the lookup source is a system table.If this is not supported, is there an officially recommended approach for handling conditional options in custom lookup fields?Thanks.

I feel like I should be able to glean this from the wiki but all my attempts are coming to nothing. We want to put the Actioning user (or failing that the assigned user) name into an Action Template as people are not always signing off with their name when left to their own devices. Any help on finding the right variable name would be much appreciated. 

Hello  Are there a method to resolve and close all active SR,CR,Incidents. that are attached with a workflow without closing each task manually?, So I have found dozen of unresolved incidents, Service Requests, and incidents, which was resolved but the tasks were not updated (resolved/closed) I couldn’t do a bulk change on them given the fact that all of them have multiple unresolved tasks  Currently the only way to close the requests with one click is through state actions >> Withdraw  but unfortunately that doesn’t meet our requirements to complete the workflow as it withdraw the process and closes the record as withdrawn, is there anything similar that automate the process and resolve all the tasks it would even be better if it continue the workflow.   alternatively is it possible to create any type of automation on Assyst that does this? any ideas would be appreciated. Hi everyone, I am setting a datamapper in AssystETM to create an event based on the import of a mail.I set the datamapper and I can create the event without particular problems with the “standard” values of an event (affected user, mail, item, etc.).Now, I would like to also track the To and CC fields of the mail I’m importing; the final result I wish to achieve is to have all these fields and to be able to insert them in an action template that I can use, for example, with a mail to customer action.For that scope, i will need to create at least 3 substitution keywords to be used (one for the To filed, one for Cc and one that combines them).I was already able to create a variable in my datamapper to extract the required fields, but now I am struggling creating the keywords.I started creating a variable in my datamapper, but I can’t find any information regarding using datamapper variables as substitution keyword. Hi there,I'd really appreciate any help with this.Basically, we’re trying to leverage Assyst to solve a flawed Business process.We’re looking to have some kind of Interface with Assyst to pull information from it, specifically,  a list of up-to-date SVDs and Product Names and ‘Application Owner’ of each SVD/Product.We need to notify these ‘Application Owners’ that, for example, the SSL expiration is coming due. (this information is managed on a separate DigiCert tool)So, based on the list of SVDs/Application owner, we pull from Assyst, we’d like to automatically open a ticket assigned it to the correct SVD/Application owner  to address their SSL expiration. Is that doable? and Where can I get information about any APIs that might help with that?Many Thanks in advance,Cheers,T.Kaddo 

We have several Fixed-format reports we would like to have exportable.  Currently, users of the report only have the option to print the results to a PDF format.  Because we are a SaaS customer, we do not have access to the internal functions of BIRT, SQL, or the reporting server.  I’m hoping there is a setting I may have missed.  Thanks!
