Hi,I have created a Technical Issue in OSCA and I wanted to add a person to the watch list/ maybe the person can keep track of the process.Is there any way we could add a person to the watch list ?

 I’m rather new to the use of assystREST API, and I do apologize if this is blindingly obvious. I’ve tried using the Assyst wiki assystREST_More_Examples article as a guide, but I’ve come up short. Is it possible to get all attachments from an event using a single rest query?When using the query below the “Event attachments” are returned, however none of the “Action Attachments” are part of this response. GET http://:/assystREST/v2/events/[eventId]/attachments  I have attempted using the actions endpoint, however that does not return any of the “Event Attachments”, and this returns all the actions, not just the attachments. GET http://:/assystREST/v2/actions?eventId=[eventId]&fields

We wondered if anyone else in the community was planning on upgrading when 11.6.x is released? We’d love to get more of an idea of what other institutions are doing - do you like to keep up to the minute or take a more slow gradual approach?

Hi all.We have just upgraded our test environment ETM to 1.7 which introduces the HTTP(S) to the mix and are putting it through its paces to see what we could use it for.One use case we are looking at is possibly replacing a script we have running on our integration VM. We use future actions to trigger a stop clock action, with assyst user setting the date to ‘come off hold’ and leaving the success checkbox as false. We created a custom Single-Select field on our contact user forms.We want to use the values in a Lookup Filter expression on our forms to restrict the results of our Single-Select Contact User field but cannot find the correct syntax to include:We’ve tried multiple variations like below:FROM usr as contactUser WHERE contactUser.$W(‘RAD’).shortCode = ‘ADULT REPRESENTATION SERVICES’FROM usr as contactUser WHERE contactUser.$new.W(‘RAD’).shortCode = ‘ADULT REPRESENTATION SERVICES’Currently on version 11.6.3 of assyst.Any ideas?

I have logged an idea for this, but am wondering whether anyone may have a better idea of achieving this?We have a custom logging form that has a custom item lookup, and what I would like to be able to do is provide the user with a short summary of what that item is/does. It doesn’t look like the we are able to amend the column profile that appears in the item lookup so it includes a remarks field from the CMDB, so the only way currently to achieve this is to create a caption field and manually enter the text - but for 100’s of items, this is not feasible. Ideally, what I would like to happen is when an item is selected, the next custom is a caption that is configured dynamically pull through the information stored in the remarks field of that item in the CMDB - only needing 1 caption field instead of 100’s. This currently isn’t possible, and logged an idea for this 5 months ago, still with no solution.Is anyone able to advise if there is a be

Can anyone tell me what is causing a visibility expression to be invalid when comparing two different custom fields on an Assyst form? I have a form that has a leaver contact User and I want to compare it’s selected value against the line manager contact user field.  Based on the wiki, I reference fields by prefixing with $W(“<short code>”) and that works fine if I compare one of the fields against a hard coded value but if I try to compare one custom field against another then it complains that the expression is not valid.   Any ideas on what I am doing wrong?    

I feel like I should be able to glean this from the wiki but all my attempts are coming to nothing. We want to put the Actioning user (or failing that the assigned user) name into an Action Template as people are not always signing off with their name when left to their own devices. Any help on finding the right variable name would be much appreciated. 

Hello Techs,We have a requirement where ITOM agent password should be in encrypted format and should not be visible by any means.Encryption of the password is to be enabled across the entire installation process. Reason being, the server does not have the password in the encrypted format currently which indeed a vulnerability by all the means and has been picked up by the Cyber Security folks.We need the password to be in encrypted format in order for us to make sure it does not show up anywhere while the entire process takes place.

Hi There   Can we use the visibility expressions to refer to system fields?

We’re working with an organisation that’s interested in the ITOM suite. We have a question raised during a technical deep dive relating to the SKU information we keep in ITOM against each Software License. In ITOM, we have the fields for SKU information (SKU code, downgrade rights, software assurance etc) – however none of this is auto-populated from the current version of the Software Dictionary.In the short-term, has anyone created a reconciliation report to address this or experienced a way to get this SKU information into ITOM without the manual effort?Thanks

Good evening, I am currently working on ways to utilise the Action Processor feature within assyst.I’m having a few issues and have some questions, if anybody could assist that’d be really appreciated. How can I fetch the description of an incident within an action processor rule, I’ve tried EVENT_DESC and EVENT_DESCRIPTION. In addition to the variable required, is there a page in particular that lists all available variables? If a variable doesn’t exist in the (hopefully existing) list mentioned above, is it possible to create them via the Action_Processor_conf- if so, is there a list of in-depth variables to pull from? All assistance is very much appreciated. Thank you in advance. 

Is anyone tracking known errors for problems? If so, how are you tracking them? We have just implemented problem management and we have some known errors within our knowledge procedures as ‘workarounds’, however, looking at ways to keep them in an event monitor/database format. Just wanted to reach out here for any ideas. 

I am trying to pull an event’s itemB’s userChar fields using Rest and note that the uri below only presents the API with the basic/ standard information set in the connected items.http://<Server>:<Port>/assystREST/v2/events/10183439?fields=affectedUser[],itemA[],itemB[]I have tried explicitly calling the field in the web request uri with no luck.?fields=affectedUser[],itemA[],itemB[userFieldChar12]This information appears if we run a second pull using the item id extracted from the event, but that seems a bit wasteful and we are able to pass it in from the AP as a parameter if necessary. But I was wondering if anyone was already doing this and whether you might be able to give me some pointers? Thanks in advance.

Hello. We’re migrating our assyst environment to a kubernetes cluster by creating docker images for services such as assyst Portal and report, search and chat services. So far, those services have succesfully been “dockerized”. However, we have Axios Smart Mail, Job Processor and Action Processor running on a Windows Server, mostly using Legacy REST API. Given the difficulties in migrating Winodows Systems to Docker, our Ops team asked us if it would be possible to replace this Windows Server with a Linux one. I guess that it’s possible to do so and would like to know if anyone had any experience in doing that. I guess that would require converting Lua scripts to regular web service calls (maybe, Lua can be run on Linux) and simulating Action Processor / Job Processor with a cron job that would periodically process the rules file, or execute corresponding commands via the new REST API. Any ideas or toughts on this

Hi there, I was wondering if it was possible to include the link of the event in question in an Action Template? I’ve tried many things but it does not seem to work for different reasons. Here are some things that I have tried:Pasting the link in the template’s description and modifying the link’s event id with the current [EVENT_ID] value. Using the Action Template’s built-in text formatting URL. For the link here I used the same formatting as in #1. Is there a way to do this?

I know that there is a feature in Assyst 11.6 to add additional affected user but we are running 11.4.3 version which does not support this feature. We have a use case where end user will be creating a request in AssystNet and will input a additional affected user in a custom lookup field and we need to add that user as a additional affected user using custom script. Did anyone achieve this using custom script using restAPI or through ETM. Would appreciate help on this.

I created some custom item forms in v11.4.3, applied the necessary visibility requirements, and associated the form with the required Product Class value.  However, since I upgraded our test environment to v11.5.1 the majority of the fields in the custom forms don’t show, even though they are not hidden or discontinued.  If I remove the custom form association then the default Item form details are all shown.  I also tried creating a new custom form (from the default) and, without making any changes for visibility etc, all fields are still not shown.Is there anything I need to change/reset/correct for custom forms at v11.5?
