IFS assyst

Hi,I have a Single Line string custom filed on a logging form, and would like to add a Validation Expression that stops a user entering 000000 or 123456.I’m able to write an expression that allows only 000000, but not able to write an expression that doesn’t allow that combination of numbers.Has anyone had any luck writing this kind of validation expression?Thanks in advance

Assyst v11.5.2SmartMail v1.12.5 We are developing a new process in assyst that all starts with a new custom logging form within assystNet. The users completes the questions and then has to attach a document before being able to submit the request. After the request has been logged, the attachment(s) that the user has attached to the request needs to be attached to an email that is sent externally. How can I automate this please by using AP rules and SmartMail without someone having to manually trigger this by taking a specific action and select the attachment? The aim is to automate as much of this manual process as possible

Hello, We manage our Problems using a specific template process. This process start with a decision to validate whether or not the problem exists. If the problem exists, then a new task of the “Investigate issue” category is created. After its resolution then a new decision task is created to define if the problem will be accepted as is or if an RFC should be logged to remmediate the issue. I’d like to know if it’s possible to use task expressions to define the assigned service department for following decisions ans tasks based on the service department who lastly resolved the issue investigation task. As far as I’m concerned, EventDTO has only methods related to lastAction and lastActioningServDept. However, I need details about the resolution of the first task of a specific category. I wonder if there’s a way to use only task expressions or if I should use something like Action Processor to update problem’s additional fields and them refer

We have several questions regarding the Service Department SLA clock.  Here is the scenario… An event is assigned to SVD A with a defined SVD SLA (not an internal SLA) with the appropriate Priority.  The SVD works the event for 1 day (the SVD SLA resolution time is 5 days) but needs to assign it to SVD B.  SVD B possesses the ticket for 6 days and re-assigns the ticket to SVD A.  Is the resolution SLA for SVD A in breach?  Also, does the SLA clock for SVD A stop when it is assigned to SVD B?  If so, does the SLA clock for SVD A restart upon re-assignment from SVD B, or does the SLA clock “pick up where it left off?” Thanks!

We currently run IFS on Oracle using the ASFU license. We are putting in a very small Assyst installation with <400 users If I install on Oracle then the help system will fail if there is a problem with our production database, obviously not idealI considered sql server express but the documentation says it is “not recommended”.  I wondered if anyone knew if there was a specific technical issue or if it’s more of a sizing issue

The Assyst Wiki is a lacking on the details on how to authenticate against the API, and is at times providing seemingly contradicting information when reading different articles. This paired with no examples of how to authenticate depending on the installed authentication mechanisms cause a lot of confusion.  Are there examples of how to authenticate against the assystREST API depending on the different Server Security Mappings selected for assystREST? My company has agents with Assyst User credentials that also need to be able to log into the Contact User service portal to submit tickets to other departments if needed.Example: Building maintenance agents handle maintenance tickets but also need to be able to submit IT support tickets to the IT helpdesk in their own name.Is there a way to have a single login that works as both a Contact User and an Assyst User? I have tried Aliasing and setting equivalent users, as well as poring over privilege settings and can find nothing.

We are using 7 Windows Servers with assyst Server installed behind an F5 load balancer for a maximum of 200 concurrend assystWEB and 30 concurrent assystNET users.We also have another server running assystServer, IPaaS and Search Server. This one is not used by normal users.Since upgrading to Assyst 11.6.1 last Friday we’ve been experiencing some “java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: GC overhead limit exceeded” on the 7 servers behind the load balancer which leads to the JVM restarting and all sessions on that server being killed.This doesn’t happen on all the servers and is irregular.We had all the JVMs for assyst Server configured to 6GB of memory as recommended by IFS on the Wiki. We decided to up the limit to 8GB which seems to be working for now but our JVM monitoring shows spikes to nearly 8G

I’m wondering if there is a way to hide the “Shortcode” and “CSG” fields in the search box that pops up when doing an Item lookup. This is on a form in assyst that is accessed by end users through the self-service portal (currently running version 11.4.2). All I would like our end users to see is the Name field.    

We recently updated to the version 25R1. Unfortunately, we are now experiencing an issue where all object searches display a maximum of 20 objects as results. We cannot figure out what is causing this. In the previous version, everything worked fine. It seems that a parameter is either new or incorrectly set. Does anyone have an idea what we can check? The IFS support has not been able to assist us so far (which is a bit frustrating). Many thanks for your help!
