For payroll reason we are trying to find a way to lock out any changes made to entered times after payroll has been exported. We are looking at the Transferred status on the timecards and there is little to no information. Does anyone have any advise or information?

Hi @CAMHDMS ,

We utilize the IFS timecard and use the transfer to payroll functionality but once the timecard records are in a Transferred state we can not change anything on the timecard including entered times.  If someone tries to change a time on the timecard and presses save they will get a message saying the record has been transferred.  No changes allowed.   See below.

Thank you @william.koltz,

That is what we are looking to do. We now can not find out how to transfer the payroll. Our current set up may not be compatible with that function of IFS

Hi @CAMHDMS ,

The Transfer to Payroll is under the Human Resources->Payroll Interface area.   When you click on Transfer to Payroll you’ll get the dialog below.   In IFS Application 8 the output is typically a CSV file.  If the company you use for Payroll isn’t present you may need to request IFS add one based on that company CSV file specification.  We had to request IFS create a custom CSV export for ADP because the two they provided out of box ADP wouldn’t accept with our ADP setup.

Another option would be to transfer the payroll using one of the built in interfaces and then create a quick report to extract the data from the Payroll Transactions view using a quick report and export it to a CSV or Excel file.

@CAMHDMS you will need to do some basic data set up in the wage codes and the employee file to get the actual data exporting in the transfer to payroll process
