How can I export/ import multiple USER PROFILES in one(1) action.

Cloud 24R1 : We would like to export/ import multiple user profiles in one action. When I select two user profiles I do not have the option to export both profiles into one export file?!Anyone in the community knows how I can export/ import multiple USER profiles in one go?

Event Action conditions are not evaluated at all sometimes

When we have defined some conditions in an Event action they work fine in the environment in which they were defined. But when they are exported and imported again as an ACP, (as xml files or a Zip file) we’ve noticed that the conditions stops getting evaluated and the Actions are run regardless what is in the conditions.For example, say we have below event action with below condition, and it was created by importing it from an ACP. Then despite what is in the condition it will execute what is in the Action Details.However, if you open this event Action in the application and do a fake modification to the Condition and do a re-save the issue is gone and the Events are only executed if the conditions are satisfied.When investigating further we realized that this is due to a discrepancy in the NEWLINE character when Event Conditions are saved in the database. When importing the ACPs through an xml it saves the newline characters in the Condition_type and Condition_Value fields as ‘\r\n’

OAuth2 Authorization Code Flow integration

Hi,do you have any idea, how to implement OAuth2 Authorization Code Flow integration in IFS Aurena? We need to create integration with bank, where is only Authorization Code Flow possible (logging to account, approval in mobile app, configuration, granting priviledges, ...).At this point, I have no idea, how to prepare callbackUrl for accepting GET request with strictly defined URL parameters.Is there any manual how to prepare own SVC not depending on OData protocol?Or use something like /soapgateway to receive and store incomming GET request? Authorization Code Flow

Upgrading from Apps 10 to Cloud and adding Freight Interface and Credit Card Integration

Hello,  I am hoping to find information about the add-on to Cloud for the Freight Interface and Credit Card Integration.  We are currently on Apps 10 and have these extensions, but are in the first phase of Build and Verify to upgrade to Cloud (24R1) and have not yet applied them to our Cloud environments.  Our partner needs additional details to support the upgrade and IFS Support has directed me to the community for answers. 1. What are the artifacts here, change to the solution set, new entities, utilities, etc under a new module, a new k8s container?  From our current 24R1 solution set we don’t see anything that suggests that credit cards or freight integration is something that exists.  As part of the technical upgrade process, we need to make sure that the database artifacts exist, so this is critical to the process.2. What are the supported IFS release versions? We are doing B&V on 24R1.  We do plan to do a release update as part of the plan, but we need to know what the min

Numeric keypad dot interpreted as comma

When entering text fields (like Part numbers) using the numeric keypad, the dot is shown as a comma. The regional and keyboard settings in Windows are set to keyboard layout en-US, which in every other application results in a dot.  Changing regional settings or numeric format in the IFS options gives no result.  Is there a way to influence the behavior of this?

"Sizing"/ "Scaling" issue when printing (.zpl) Labels on Zebra Printers

Hi all,   At one of our customers we have a "sizing" / "scaling" issue when printing (.zpl) Labels on Zebra printers. In the Label Designer or a ZPL Viewer, the Label Size seems to be correct. However when we print the actual labels, the information which is printed on the Labels is much smaller. Please look at the attached pictures. Although the picture is not perfect, the information on the actual printed label in real life is nearly not readable ( to small). And as you can see, the information printed is aligned to the upper left corner. While in the designer /or ZPL viewer, the information is nicely centered over the entire label.   Does anyone of you have an idea what can be the cause of this? Can this be a printer setting, or something in the layout design? (Of course the actual label size is also 8 x 4 cm, as the label was designed. So we are not using the wrong label size.)   Thanks and best regards!

javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException: Remote host terminated the handshake

Hi @dsj For one of our integration requirements we are using Mutual Authentication from IFS cloud to another third party application for that using openssl we generated the .csr and provided to the signing authority and got the .cer file and we generated the .pfx file using .cer and .key file and uploaded into IFS cloud.we created the routing address in that we provided the ssl:KeyStoreId as well.Here is the attachment how we did it. below is the error message we are getting could place have look and suggest where we are wrong. The version i am using here 23R1 SU3 Error :ExecutionException from Sender thread Caused by: ifs.fnd.connect.senders.ConnectSender$TemporaryFailureException: Exception while sending data Caused by: javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException: Remote host terminated the handshake Caused by: java.io.EOFException: SSL peer shut down incorrectly

Failure of web server bridge

“Failure of Web Server BridgeNo backend server available for connection: timed out after 10 seconds or idempotent set to OFF or method not idempotent.” Has anyone encountered this message?  The environment comes up and stays up for a brief amount of time (anything from 5 mins to 45 mins) before it fails with the error above when trying to connect.Nothing obvious in server monitoring tools.  This is a test environment which isn’t heavily stressed. RegardsChris

Connect RESTful call: SSLException: Connection reset

I have a routing address setup to make a call to another system using REST in an IFS cloud managed environment.  It works most of the time, but after multiple successful calls to the end point I start getting an error:  Exception while sending data Caused by: javax.net.ssl.SSLException: Connection reset Caused by: java.net.SocketException: Connection reset. Does IFS utilize a security appliance in the cloud hosted environments that sends a RST packet to the Connect server automatically after a certain volume of transactions are processed?   I have Connect configured to retry 60 times after 1 minute.  This results in the message going from a waiting status to released after about a minute and then Connect picks it up and resends within a minute from there.  As such a new RESTful connection for the same API call, but it continues to receive this error from anywhere from 10 minutes to multiple hours.  If it is able to successfully make the connection which it does about 40% of the time, i

Quick Report Parameter Questions

Does anyone know how to make a parameter mandatory? By default they are all optional. Also, is there a way to set a default value for a parameter? Lastly, is there IFS documentation or a manual on details like this? I’ve seen IFS pages that have general  info, but nothing on technical details like the above or what else is doable/possible. As we start to develop our company’s custom reports I’m getting ideas and would like to know the capabilities and what’s possible with QuickReports.

WARNING: too many parse errors? What is the reason for the error?

This might be a continuation of the following community post or a reference to it if needed. https://community.ifs.com/framework-and-experience-101/how-can-i-resolve-performance-issues-when-updating-vouchers-to-general-ledger-12780?postid=47153#post47153 We are seeing a lot of WARNING: too many parse errors in the oracle alert logs when our customer’s database gets into a complete slowdown mode and needing a forced reboot. It happens almost every Tuesday.What is the reason for the errors? What can be done to eliminate or mitigate such errors? Do we need an ORACLE patch or change in parameter settings? Is solution id 247656 (and/or others) the answer to this? Our customer is hosted on ITAR cloud.During this slowdown the GL Update suffers greatly and does not finish. And when the customer reboots, the GL update finishes within a reasonable amount of time. Rebooting the system frequently is not an acceptable solution for the customer since it is affecting their business.  2023-01-31T11:06

internet explorer can't be found. you need to re-install or re-enable internet explorer

Recently we have uninstall Internet Explorer 11 from our client machines and started using Microsoft Edge as the default browser. then we are getting this error when try to open IFS EE using the Edge browser.as a workaround we are currently using Google Chrome with IFS Add-on.but It would be really helpful if anyone share a solution or any workaround to use the new Edge Browser? is there any add-on for Microsoft Edge as well?Thank you!

Common reason why you get server failed_not_restartable after a VM restart

Common environment issue I have noticed and this is commonly seen in internal environments due to the VM shutting down performed during weekends. Error: An error related to managed server will be thrown after reconfiguring/restarting and the ManagedServer could even go to ‘failed_not_restartable' State. Resolution:  Navigate to the following config file - C:\IFS\DEV\wls_domain\DEV8\config\config.xml Search for ‘listen-address' Instead of the VM name an IP address will be shown for the managed server. This has to be changed back to the VM name.This can be done to resolve Admin Server failures too. I believe this should reduce a lot of time spent on investigating logs and recreating instances.The above is in addition to checking the lok files in wls_domain.

Change NLS_LANG on Oracle Instant Client.

Hi all, We are running PL/SQL Developer on our Windows clients with Oracle Instant Client. When doing so, the packages cannot handle Nordic characters (æøå). I think I have identified the problem as the NLS_LANG value in registry.  I have an old installation that is working. It looks like this:   On Instant Client theses entries does not exists (default is AMERICAN_AMERICAN.US7ASCII). SELECT distinct client_charset FROM v$session_connect_info WHERE sid = sys_context('USERENV','SID'); Anyone know an easy way to change NLS_LANG?

IFS Apps REST API and ODATA

I've been trying to understand the api calls via OData.  For savety measures I've renamed our server instance to xyz. So far I found out the following: I logged on to an IFS10 environment via https://xyz:48080. I selected Entrance to Aurena for that. I opened a new tab in Google Chrome and copied in the following https://xyz:48080/main/ifsapplications/projection/v1/DocumentClassesHandling.svc/DocClassSet?$select=DocClass,DocName&$format=json This returns a list of available Doc Classes and their description (json formatted). Very nice. Using the same URL and pasting it in FireFox (with no IFS10 running) the server returned the following: https://xyz:48080/openid-connect-provider/login?rf=p8dCXSBiIY The logon screen is shown. Seems logical to me. No idea what the parameter rf means, but I logged in (with a full access user id). Automate Purchase Order PDF Email

Hi all, In IFS10 UPD4 I have developed an automated process to take an authorised Purchase Requisition, convert it to a Purchase Order, release it and then email the requisitioner with the order details. I would like to attach a PDF copy of the PO (or send one from another Event Action) but have not managed to figure out how to do it. I have an Event configured against the PURCHASE_ORDER_TAB table that triggers when the PO is Released and then an Event Action E-mail to inform the requisitioner, but there are no Event linked attachments available to attach. Does anyone know how to code the printing and emailing functionality? Thanks in advance, Ged Pierce.

IFS Community Login

Can you please explain why each and every time I try to login to the community my current password is not recognized meaning that I have to send an email regarding a password change? Once I change the password the next time I login the system informs me that my credentials are invalid and I’m forced to repeat the password change process all over again.ThanksAlan

Database sessions ORA-00026 missing or invalid session id

In Database Sessions we have a long running session related to Business Reporter scheduled report that we wish to kill.The session id in Database Sessions is 642:  However, on RMB > Kill Session we receive the following error: I cannot see the session in Monitor Sessions in SQL Developer but can see the session when doing select from v$session : select * from v$session where sid = '642'  ;Using the SID and SERIAL#  I tried to kill the session:ALTER SYSTEM KILL SESSION '642,12109'I receive the following error:Error report -ORA-00026: missing or invalid session ID00026. 00000 -  "missing or invalid session ID"*Cause:    Missing or invalid session ID string for the current operation.*Action:   Retry with a valid session ID.Obviously, can see the session in FND_SESSION_RUNTIME How can I kill this session when it isn’t reported in Monitor Sessions and any attempt to kill the session report in the missing or invalid session id?

Removal of Crystal Reports in 25R1

According to the deprecation log here:  Crystal Reports integration is planned to be removed entirely from IFS Cloud with the 25R1 release.Can we get a comment on whether this is just a plan, or if it is definitely going to happen.We have a number of customers who have a large number of Crystal Reports, used for both Quick and Operational Reports.  If this is going to be removed they face a huge amount of rework based on this.  It is going to put Customers off upgrading to Cloud for sure.What are IFS suggesting is used to replace these Crystal reports that businesses have come to rely on over the years they have been IFS Customers?

Report Designer

I recently added a field to a stock IFS operational report and found it challenging. I'm probably missing something really basic. I've created and modified a lot of operational reports done with Crystal Reports, but this is the first time since Apps 2004 that I've tried to use the IFS tools. Does anyone have any better documentation/training material than what is supplied with the Report Designer? Or tips and tricks on creating/modifying reports with Report Designer?

Last Login for user

I want to have access to our users last login date for IFS10. There is a column in ORACLE_ACCOUNT (dba_users), but this doesn’t seem to log Logins to the Application, only PL/SQL, BAES and other stuff. Earlier we created a trigger to fetch logins from active sessions, but this caused problems. Anyone knows how to get hold of this Login information? We want to use it for license control.
