Hello All,

We have a small problem, which is, when we run the IFS via the shortcut for the EDGE ( "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft\Edge\Application\msedge.exe" https://ifs.vyncke.com/client/runtime/Ifs.Fnd.Explorer.application) the EDGE will open, app will open but EDGE will not close window after.

Is there a way how to automatically close the EDGE after? it was possible with the IE.

Thanks

Jakub

Hi @JPL ,

I’m not sure Microsoft Edge will close automatically after you launch IFS.

You could try something like this to launch Microsoft Edge in a minimized state from the command line.

start /min microsoft-edge:https://ifsdev.omnisp.com:48080/client/runtime/Ifs.Fnd.Explorer.application

My thought is you could potentially use a command file to build a little script that you use to launch IFS within the Microsoft Edge browser and then have the script close the browser once IFS is up and running.

Hi @JPL ,

This behavior is not governed by IFS applications but rather by the browser (Edge). I see this has been raised in several Microsoft forums with no proper answer. See below threads:

ClickOnce not closing edge browser after opening the application - Visual Studio Feedback

ClickOnce Applications in new Edge browser with Chromium. (microsoft.com)

Perhaps it’s best if this can be directed to Microsoft as feedback, so that they will consider implementing in the future. (There’s a feedback option inside Edge under help and feedback)

Thanks,
