Hi All, One of our customer needs following to be achieved using an Custom Event.When creating a new record in Functional Object window , it needs to fill Description field with concatenated highlighted fields. Description field is mandatory ,so that values has to be filled before saving. I tried using background job (Deferred_Call) ,but it was not successful as deferred call runs after saving the record. Is this possible to achieve by Custom event? Thank You!.
Hello IFS User Community,I am a member of an IFS Implementation project team, located in the UK, currently gearing up for our UK go-live.Following the UK go-live, the implementation project team then move onwards to our global IFS roll-out, implementing IFS across my organisation, with next step being IFS implementation across Australia and Singapore.In preparation for the implementation of IFS in the APAC region, are there any APAC-based IFS users on this User Community ? My intent of this question is simply to extend my working knowledge of global companies / organisations currently using IFS (outside of my current, albeit limited, knowledge of the UK IFS user base).Very many thanks in advance.
Hi member of the IFS-community, what do you think if IFS would offer another section in IFS community where users can upload, search for and download IFS-artifacts? IFS-artifacts might be configurations like event (actions), custom RMBs, quick reports, lobbys, data-sources, IALs, custom fields and more. But even the code of customizations (only if the user has the legal right to do so!) might be shared within this IFS community. Of course each customer has its very unique requirements - but still it might be a useful tool to bring the community closer together - function and solution-wise. What do you think in general about such a marketplace? Would you appreciate such a possibility where IFS-artifacts can be freely shared?Woud you share your artifacts and upload them? Why yes - why not?Would you search for solutions/ artifacts and download artifacts which seem useful? Why yes - why not? Thank you! M.
Hey Community,I’d like your feedback on something. The community has been busy the last couple years. We currently have over 20k topics on the site.And while we work to make sure everyone gets an answer, some topics aren’t replied to. Maybe the query is really complex and requires more time than community members had. Or maybe it was a member looking for an opinion, rather than a how-to, and there wasn’t a similar situation to share. In any case, we have just over 1000 topics with no replies. We have members who answer regularly and we reach out to occasional contributors to answer specific posts, but when I ask people to help, I want to make the best use of their time.So my thought is, if you asked a question 6 months ago and didn’t get a reply, you probably aren’t still waiting on an answer. How would you feel about me moving any questions that are 6+ months old into an archive? They would be closed - not appearing in the search results and not circulated among staff to find an answe

What’s the best way for our users to get technical support when they run into errors using Community?One of our customers is experiencing the following issue:When they initially go to the community.ifs.com url, and other times when navigating through, they are presented with the following error on the page‘DI\DependencyExceptionCircular dependency detected while trying to resolve entry ‘CommunityVisibility’.
Create "Categories" of answers – "Answer" / "Additional Question" / "Escalation" / "Summarization" / "Internal info" /...Give me possibility to mark "Not answer" to make me not accidentally mark something as "Best answer" Add possibility to response on concrete post - eg. thanks or addition info, answer of sub-question but not answer of whole topic/question.
For an example, I need to search all the posts which has the wording ‘ERROR_359’ in IFS Community? This would help me to see situations which has happened around this particular error and see how the community has solved that issue? Today, when I search, I get so many unwanted results and the result count is 1000s. Also, if some tags can be made mandatory like the track etc, at post creation it would be possible to filter the results effectively. (at least in the relevant forums)

I have noticed that IFS10 documentation which was available in https://docs.ifs.com/techdocs/ is news removed. As a consequence, the links pointed to IFS10 technical documentation in forum questions are no longer working and forum members won’t have a common documentation to refer.Hope forum moderators will act on this.
