Hi,
In PSO, is there any possibility of considering the weight of the truck as a constraint for scheduling?
If "constraint" means only consider roads e.g. suitable for heavy trucks, then the answer is no. If you want to constrain how much you load into the truck (e.g., for delivery scenarios) the answer is yes.
Please let me know how to setup this truck weight as constraint for scheduling from IFS Cloud to PSO?
Sorry, missed the fact that you use PSO with IFS Cloud. In PSO standalone you could use custom metrics, but these are not yet available in Cloud.
Can you explain your use case? Maybe there are alternatives.
Hi
Please can you suggest alternative for the below use case.
The business is delivering salt. Truck driver is bringing the quantities as per the customer requests,ex: 10kg salt, 20 kgs salt. But when assigning those customer requests planning department wants to know whether the truck is getting overloaded with the daily required qty. They use recurring service program, ex: each 3 weeks 20 kgs of salt and PSO will do task planning automatically passing to PSO for planning.
That’s the perfect use case for metrics and I wouldn’t know an alternative. I’d suggest to raise this as an idea.

My bad, I just recognized this should already work with IFS Cloud 24R2. Create a custom metric:

Every task contributes a certain weight:

Create a rule:

Associate the rule to the resource type. Please let me know if that works for you.
