FSM - How to find the column of a view un UI design

Hello,I create a view with SQL, based on task table.I declare it in the custom metadata. with all the columns -is it mandatory?Now, I would like to insert data of the view in the task screen with UI designer.I made a relation in the “Child relation editor and “added a screen field from the view” Now, when I open a task i ‘ve got this message :Complete message in attachments.Did i forget a step? Thanks in advance for you help.

FSM 6.5 Substitution Maps

Hi,I have a notification email that’s being sent out when a part need is created for certain parts.  I would like the person who created the part need to be CC’ed on this email.The notification message is triggered by a request event and the person I’d like included on the email is the request event creator.  I’m not sure how to use request_event.created_by in the distribution list.Another problem is I’ve been trying to create substitution maps to get the persons emails address with different methods. For some reason the ones I create don’t show up in the “Wild card member” drop down on the distribution list screen. I don’t see any differences it my substitution maps and the ones that do show up in the drop down.Currently I can use request.event.created_by or I’ve also stuffed the part_need.sequence into the request_event.user_def2 to have a link back to the part need where I could use part_need.created_byAny suggestions appreciated.

How we can add link Navigation in FSM Lobby?

I'm using IFS FSM 6 smart client. I'm not able to add navigation for particular task ID from List view of Lobby.Suppose we have tasks having Task IDs 1,2,3,4,5 etc. on List view of lobby. When I will click on task id 4.. it should open the task having task id 4 in task screen.How I can configure it??

FSM mobile not syncing

I am having a weird issue where a custom screen using a client script on the next button does not want to sync.I know the client script runs due to the alert at the end of the code. Before, if something does not sync, I would get an error on the sync screen. Now, however, I do not even get an error. No syncs waiting to happen, no errors, no warnings. Is there anyone that could spend some time with me in teams to help me out with this?

FSM Mobile mm_message_out table not populating

We recently updated from FSM 6u6 to 6u15, and have run into an issue with the mobile app where new messages are not populating to the mm_message_out table to be sent to mobileNo sync rules have changed, scheduled process for perform_mobile_replication is running, and audits have not changed.Using the Sync Rule Analyzer shows the expected number of rows returned, but those rows never make it to the mm_message_out table to be processed to mobileIs there anywhere else I should be looking to solve this?

Unable to download the .msg file attachments in IFS mobile

Hi IFS TeamMobile attachments showing cross mark icon for .msg files(Outlook email). I checked the ATTACHMENTS_BLACKLIST param as well where .msg is not included Attach the outlook email file in webclient(OnDemand checked or unchecked doesnot matter) Wait for the sync to mobile and go to Attachments screen For any On Demand .msg file the download option is displayed. But on clicking that the attchment download goes on forever. Not downloading anything nor the window is closing which shows downloading attachment For OnDemand unchecked .msg file, the Attachment screenshowing cross mark inside a hectagon On clicking that icon mobile opens the bigger cross mark icon and nothing happens. Other files like .jpeg, png etc are are getting downloaded successfullyThis looks like a product issue in FSM UPD 21?Is there any restriction at server level (configurations) causing this issue?

Manually scheduled work beyond 30 days, not displaying on PSO workbench

Can you recommend any parameters or scheduling app params to check to fix this issue?Only in our Production environment we are seeing manually scheduled tasks being ignored or excluded by the workbench. Inside 30 days out, they appear just as normal, and Appointment Booked activities are also fine.

Filter lookup values based on multi select dropdown

FSM Mobile Attachment Types

Hi there, We are currently using FSM6u10. We are able to attach files to a Task that are synchronised and appear on the tablet. We have a requirement to attach a pack of files as a ZIP.  When attaching the ZIP file, the attachment appears on the Mobile FSM App task with a big X.Is it possible to attach and synchronise ZIPS or other non standard file types to a Task in FSM Mobile and save them on to the device for Unzipping.? Is this something that is improved on later versions of FSM? Thank you, Angelo

FSM 5.7 Tech Portal - mileage calculation issue

Hello,We are using FSM 5.7 and have been having an issue with the mileage calculation button retrieving the mileage from the Api. It also seems that the portal is having issues retrieving newly created facilities that exist within the application. It has been mentioned before that there could be an issue with the Api pointing to http instead of https, however it is hard to determine if that is the exact issue and how to solve it. Any advice or help on this issue would be greatly appreciated.

To set default value of a non-db field

Hi,how can I set default value of a non-db field?Ex: want to set def-value REOCCURRING = ‘N’, def-value EXCLUDE_WEEKEND = ‘Y’ I have tried by making these actions (individually and combined), but have not succeeded.create a custom view which has fields REOCCURRING and EXCLUDE_WEEKEND.  Default values were set.View definition is likeCREATE view … ASSELECT …, ‘N’  AS REOCCURRING, ‘Y’ AS EXCLUDE_WEEKEND--in UI Designer set the respective default values create client script ( (>>calling setControlValue command, client-type = Web Client Only) and attach to the screen AfterScreenLoad event   Thanks in advance for your enlightenment. :-) Cheers,~Juni

Substitution Variables

Started anbother thread as the previous one was marked as solved. We have an issue whereby sometimes substitution variables work, and sometimes not.  The patterns and findings are as follows: We have a notification setup to fire upon project.approval_status being updated. The fields that do not reliably work in the resulting notification messages are:project.user_def1 project.user_def2 project.created_byHere are my the findings from testingIf you change the Approval Status on the Project by directly changing the field on the Project screen.  The Notification goes out correctly with all values.However, In our application, the Project Approval status is typlically changed via a business rule triggered from TASK.  The XML for this rule output looks like this<update_project><project><project_id>@project_id</project_id><proj_status>OPEN</proj_status><approval_status>SUBMITTED</approval_status><update /></project></update_project

FSM 6.5 Scripted Lobby Tile

Hello,I’m trying to create a lobby tile with a scripted data source. (FSM 6.5)My Client Script SQL and Client script are both working.  I can preview my data source from the data source designer screen and see the result from my script.  The script is returning a single number and appears to be in a column named “return”.I’m struggling to get the number returned from the data source to be displayed in the actual element tile.  There is just a big X where the number should be.Since this is my first scripted lobby tile I must be missing a step somewhere. Anyone know what it could be? Thanks!

FSM 5.7 - Assign Workflow to a Button

Hello,Hoping someone can point me in the right direction.I have created a Workflow and would like to deploy to screen so it launches on a button click.How do you do that?I can see in the FSM Reference Documentation the following: Button. You can create a button to execute a workflow using the UI Designer. You add a workflow button to a screen customization and then attach one or more workflows using the edit workflow group feature. You can run a new instance of a workflow or complete a workflow instance that is preserved.  I cannot see in the UI Designer, or other screens anything referring to an ‘edit workflow group feature’. Any pointers on this would be greatly appreciated. RegardsAdy

The request channel timed out while using ODATA REST API

We have recently upgraded to FSM 6UPD9 to make use of the ODATA REST APIs in order to integrate our external applications with FSM. Very often we are getting a request channel timeout while using the ODATA REST API’s. Once this starts every call fails. Message:Error occurred while getting EDM model from app server.System.TimeoutException: The request channel timed out while waiting for a reply after 00:00:59.9970047. Increase the timeout value passed to the call to Request or increase the SendTimeout value on the Binding. The time allotted to this operation may have been a portion of a longer timeout. The ODATA rest API's makes a call to the FSM server "<perform_get_updated_odata_edm>" to get the data model. It basically asks for the database table structure of ~1200 tables in FSM, which looks to be a very time-consuming operation. We have observed that the ODATA API attempts to refresh the EDM model every time there is a server restart/ IIS reset or whenever we do a refresh cach

FSM - Data Member Specified by 'column name' cannot be found

Hi,We have created a custom table and when creating a new record all is fine, apart from one small issue.One of the columns in the table is called ‘expiry_dt’. This column has been set with a ‘dateonly’ mask type. When we try to save a value in this column we get an exception of;        <system_error>          <severity>ERROR</severity>          <message>Data member specified by expiry_dt cannot be found.</message>        </system_error>I have created numerous custom tables in the past. Never seen this error before. Searching the community I can see this topic; which references the same error. No comments on that yet, so though I would ask with a different angle to it. Anyone else seen this, or can assist with what the exception is telling me. RegardsAdy

Is there any way to restrict the selection of Task Statuses based upon the Task Type? We need this becuase certain types of tasks should only have certain statuses

PSO/IFS Dataset connection broken

Good dayI am having the following issue.I have teams setup in FSM with team members and scheduling resources, all connected to certain datasets. I have created corresponding datasets in PSO, and after setup is complete everything works as it should (team members/resources added in FSM displays immediately in PSO, tasks get scheduled correctly according to commit rules etc.).My problem is, everything works perfectly for a while, before the connection between datasets in PSO and FSM fails. Updating any data in FSM does not pull through to PSO.I have tested this by creating new testing datasets, scheduling app params (exports) etc. and connecting all necessary data to them, but they still fail after a while. Deleting everything and recreating all data will have it working again, until it fails again.What could be causing this failure? Could it be due to a system upgrade? If it is caused by upgrades, is there a way to preserve the connections so I don’t have to recreate everything to make

GPS Tracking

HiCan you please explain how GPS location updates are recorded on the mobile device (IOS) and sent to the backend and what should be configured to make this happen. We are currently using FSM6 SP5 and are experiencing very few GPS updates on the person records of the technicians. The mobile device is set to allow location tracking for the device and FSM however very few updates are written back to the FSM application
