When we export information from an IFS window (ie. Customer Order Lines) the information is exported in to Excel with a format of General. Unfortunately, it drops the zeros off the front of our customer numbers. Right now our work around is it export the information to a txt file, then use Excel’s “Get Data” functionality to convert the cells from General to Text format.Is there a set-up available that will automatically do this when we export from IFS?

We are using IFS 9 Patch 17 as of November. Recently I had an employee who created a quote to order situation for parts. They reserved the parts and then created the picklist. This area does not use Shipment so it was just a picklist. When they got out to the area the part was not there and cannot be fulfilled. In the past they thought they could still pull it off of the picklist (but no one remembers how they did it). I took the situation to our test environment and proved if the part did not make it to the pick list you can still unreserve it. Once on the pick list you cannot unreserve, you cannot change quantities, and I cannot seem to figure out how to report the line not picked. Anything I try to change on the line of the pick list just does not let us save. Could this be an issue in SP 17 or is there something I am missing when trying to help them out? 

We are currently working on some solutions to improve our dates for our customers. One gap we currently have within IFS is that ATP (Available to Promise) and CTP (Capability check or Capable to Promise) do not include open supply, unless the Wanted Date is within the Open Supply window. Example where Supply is not seen:Customer Order Wanted Delivery Date - 5/10/21 Shop Order Due Date 5/12 ATP runs and shows you can only fulfill so much of the order (based on qty on hand and selling qty). Thus the user runs CTP moves the promise date on the customer order to the full part lead time (30 days) even though the supply is coming in on the 12th.  Example where Supply is seen:Customer Order Wanted Delivery Date - 5/10/21 Shop Order Due Date 5/8 ATP or CTP see the supply and the date properly plans the customer order. With the supply not being seen on the first one example, we get an extended lead time that is no necessary. Hello, I created a scheduled Batch Load job to input an external Bank Reconciliation .csv filed saved to a folder location on the server. When setting up the External File Template, I believe I configured the ‘Input Files’ section correctly. I have a File Name and Input File Directory. When I run the Scheduled Database Task, I receive the following error:ORA-20110: ExternalFileUtility.File \\servername\External\BankReconciliation\filename.csv not exist   EDIT: I can upload the external file successfully from the same location using Online processing.Can anyone suggest possible solutions to fix this error? 

Good evening, does any one know if and/or how I can reset the status of a customer order back from Released to Planned? I haven’t found a way how to do so. Any advice is welcome. Thanks in advance! Bart

Hello,I am looking for a way to create conditional formatting for the available Qty column within Customer Order Lines. I am looking to have the cell highlight green if the value is greater than the Sales Qty (BUY_QTY_DUE). I am trying to put in the below formula, but it doesn’t look like conditional formatting has the ability to compare the value against a different column value. Is that accurate, or is there a way to accomplish this that I am missing?  Thank you,Matt

We are in the final stages of Aurena Apps 10 implementation and I work in CRM and Call Center and I want to make sure we have all understood the sales roles correctly.  If I create a quote or an order, I think:  the coordinator creates the quote/order, but is not responsible for it  the representative is responsible for the quote/order the main representative is the representative’s senior and can override their work the salesperson can be internal (colleague) or external (e.g. reseller)Is this right? TIAKezzia

Hi, Me and all my work colleagues have started using IFS, and we all are struggling do simple tasks like pasting tables from Excel. My problem is the following:We need to create multiple Quotations Lines in Sales\Quotation\Sales Quotation. And some quotations can have more than 50 quotation lines.Now the problem is that IFS doesn’t seem to allow a simple copy/paste from an excel table (which we get from clients). Therefore, we need to fill all Quotations Lines cell by cell, row by row, for every  single cell that is on this table (Qty, items requested, items proposed, dicounts, and more). Even the line numbers must inserted manually... As you can guess, this has been extremely frustrating experience, and a huge step back in efficiency, as before thinks were running smoothly. I’ve done some research and found topics in the forum about:Copy/Paste Object: However, this needs only possible to use from an existing Quotation. Trying to figure out what drives the EDI 855 - Electronic Order Acknowledgement out of IFS.  We are already doing 810 & 856 outbound.   I set the Customer Master up as follows: Message Setup * ORDRSP   Order tab > Message Default tab * Order Change Management - Send Order Confirmation (checked)   I create the customer order through the Incoming Customer Order.  I get nothing outbound. I Release the customer order.(from Planned) thinking maybe it requires a Status change.   I still do not get an outbound file.   Requesting assistance on what I am missing from the setup in order to generate the outbound XML fie for Order Acknowledgements.

Apps10 - When does a search I saved go to “Saved Searches” under the My Administration section of IFS and when does it stay only on the page I created it on?I have many saved searches, 20 plus, and I only see 7 under my saved searches. 

IFS9, in the process of upgrading to IFS10. We have used Report Designer to adjust the layout of instant invoices sent to our customers. The document footer for the instant invoice has been defined in the window Document Footer and connected to the report INSTANT_INVOICE_REP, which works just fine. Now, we need to have different invoice footers for different customers (sent from the same company). We have defined additional fields and additional Footers in the window Document Footer, which meet our requirements. However, we can’t find a way of selecting a different footer when creating the instant invoice.We have tried the following:In Document Footer, connect the report id INSTANT_INVOICE_REP to two different footers (two lines in the tab Connect Report). Hello Community, Just wanting to ask how do you measure your On Time Delivery from your order. What is standard IFS way to compare your 1st Confirmed date and Last confirmed date vs actuals to measure OTD. As IFS have Wanted, Target, Planned, Promised dates, but all of those seems to be possible to be changed until invoiced, how should OTD be measured with  IFS logic? Anyone has thoughs?

I’m trying to delete two customers created by mistake, as prospects.I’m receiving the following error message in the debug console. ORA-20105: Assert.IS_VIEW: "" is non existing view.The only information displayed on screen is: "" is non existing view.The customer form have three custom objects, can it be related to those? I have tried to run the form without them and then delete the customer - but same result.Since there is information missing in the error message it is a bit hard to know where data or connections are missing. I can’t see any mandatory fields that are missing data either. 

Any comments on the topic what is more convenient for maintaining sales prices in IFS applications: price list or customer agreement ? We need to consider domestic sales and foreign sales (direct and via foreign branch). I see that price list is regardless of the customer while agreement is connected to specific customer. Is it the main difference ? Price List can be connected to customer price group or to the customer. In here customer agreements are used in one company and in the second price lists are used. I wonder what are the advantages of each of the way. It seems for me that price lists are more convenient, as I do not have to enter prices for each customer separately. But I need more arguments to convince the sales department here. Another topic is the need for price update periodically. I need to write some PL/SQL for it but I wonder what should be the source of the data: it could be excel but I prefer the data to be present in IFS e.g. on some price list. The I can use it as

Hello - we are on version 9, update 8 and would like to mass update the price & price incl tax fields on the sales part record.  We did notice there is the ability to “Update base prices” & “Update unit based price lists” & “Update sales price lists from base prices”, but there does not seem to ability to update prices on sales parts.  Has anyone else run into this and what was the solution?  This seems like a common request that any company would like to do.     Thanks!

Hello All, We are an IFS Apps 10 customer, and we are in the middle of our implementation. We have run into an issue with regard to the Estimating module. The issue we are facing is creating an estimate for a part that has operation steps at multiple sites. We may have a part that has an operation step in one facility, and it is then shipped to another facility for additional manufacturing. We have been unable to build this estimate, as the module seems to require you to use the same site for all parts in the estimate. I believe we may be setting the estimate up incorrectly, but I am not sure. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!
