Data Migration

We are on IFS Cloud 25.1.2.  Microsoft just forced updated Office to 2507 (19029.20136) which broke our IFS Excel add-ins.  Users that stayed on 2506 are still OK.Issue is, when you click login, the add-in panel briefly flashes and does not bring up the login window for IFS cloud.Anyone else have this issue?

Hi All,When migrating users, I get a strange result in the Description field.  Instead of the User Name, I get the contents of all the fields:I also can’t get the Web_User to populate into the User Email field 

Import fixed asset is not working properly.  Below is the test plan:Create an FA object with valid from date 8/30/2016, assigned to an object group with SL BP for 7y0m. Import the object with acc. Depreciation value for year 2022, period 12. Post the import transactions. Create a new depreciation proposal for the object above for year 2023, period 1, review the proposal, you will notice the depreciation will fully depreciate the object with the remaining residual value.  That is incorrect.  The object should still have another 8 months to depreciate. If you would like to review our data, object id TEST2 is done via external template, object id TEST3 is created in the system, both with the same issue.  The testing data is on my UAT database (URL: IFS Cloud). We are currently on IFS Apps 8 but not using the fixed assets module.  

Hi All, From where can I find IFS Cloud 22R1 Template Project file for Data Migration Manager?  I am new to Data Migration Manager and my idea is to create a Project Template and load a pre-built Template file copied into DM server location , drill down into details of the project and understand how it is set up instead of creating a Data Migration Project from scratch.

Hi, We have followed the instruction to install the IFS Data Migration Excel Add-in (https://docs.ifs.com/techdocs/21r2/020_installation/400_installation_options/010_data_management/030_data_migration/) but I do not seem to be able to deploy the manifest in Excel in a “Normal” Excel client. Does this only work in the web client? /Tor

Hello, I have a VPN to the IFS cloud. Now I have noticed that the Select does not show any data on many VIEWS, although data is available there according to the IFS quick report.CUSTOMER_INFO: works fine PURCHASE_ORDER: no Data In IFS-Quickreport i can select all Purchase Orders ! Is there a reason and solution so that I can see data from all VIEWS that I select via Qracle SQL Developer and not just the column names?I have already written the IFSAPP in front of the VIEW names.Thanks for your helpGreetingsMarkus

Hello, I'm Markus and I'm new here in this community, and this is my first post.One of my tasks is to prepare the master data from the old ERP and migrate it to the IFS cloud. Of course, a lot of mapping is necessary, as we don't have this many columns and tables in the old ERP.I learned from our consulting to use these data migration tools: Migration Job for LOAD and for MIGI have a VPN to the IFS cloud and can select the data VIEWS via ORACLE SQL Developer to reconcile the column names and fields for the migration job files or to build the mapping for this.Is there a best practice for the migration of master datafrom our old ERP to our IFS cloud?Thank you very much for your knowledgeGreetingsMarkus 

Hi All,I am using IFS Cloud 24R2. FNDMIG job using MIGRATE_SOURCE_DATA procedure.Does anyone know how to avoid the above error when migrating customer_order_line ?The DEFAULT_ADDR_FLAG has value ‘Yes’ and DEFAULT_ADDR_FLAG_DB has the value ‘Y’, but the error says it is NULL.ORA-20124: Error.NULLVALUE: Field [DEFAULT_ADDR_FLAG] is mandatory for Customer Order Line and requires a value.The source data will have  below values.Is something wrong with these values? Should we check on a value of another field in the data set for some validations?Your thoughts, experiences and suggestions to solve this issue is much appreciated.Thank you!

Hey, I am trying to fix a broken excel migration job, but it keeps throwing the following error:Expected ',' or '}' after property value in JSON at position 222 (line 1 column 223) My issue is that I don’t know how I can check what the JSON file looks like that is created from the Excel file. Is there a way to see that, perhaps inside the debugger?Please let me know if you need more information regarding this problem to better understand.Thank you for your assistance in advance!

Hey everybody, I am trying to set up an Excel Migration Job for with custom fields. Unfortunately it doesn´t work. Without the CFs I am able to upload data in the master. With the CFs it seems to work (validation and execution works without errors), but the record set doesn´t update. I am curious if someone of you faced the same issue. Name and Cepi have been updated. Validation looks good.After execution it looks also good.The fields in IFS aren´t updated. Without the custom field data is updated.    Thank you in advance, Johannes

Anyone have luck using a Post Deployment process to change Routing Alternate or Product Structure Alternate from Tentative to Buildable in Data Migration Manager? I’m trying ROUTING_ALTERNATE_API.BUILD_ in this example. I can’t get it to fire off, no matter what settings I try. The Customer Order Status change is very straightforward in comparison, just requiring the ORDER_NO. I’m wondering if it has something to do with the migration not actually filling anything in for the OBJID or OBJVERSION. No idea what should go in the ATTR or ACTION sections. 

As I’m learning Data Migration Manager I have created a few projects. For a couple of them, while Mapping Legacy Tables to Migration Object there has not been any Target Tables available in the Smart Mapping assistant and I have had a hard time figuring out why. Am I missing any setup? What are the requirements for Target Tables to be available for Smart Mapping? 

How can the data be migrated into IFS cloud? Like we want to migrate some companies/sites/their users/service requests from legacy system to IFS cloud.

Hi together,we are currently in an Upgrade Project to 22R2 and we want to migrate Notes.We found the topic Job migration of Business Opportunity - Note issue | IFS Community but when we enter the method BUSINESS_OPPORTUNITY_API.Write_Note_ in the Method List of the Mig Job we get the following error. So we checked the API in PL/SQL Developer and saw that the datatype for rowid_ is ROWID. This seems wrong.Does anybody have the same issue? Do you know how to fix that error?Thanks in Advance for any help!Best regards,Andreas

Dear Community, @Jens (you're a DMM guru I've been told ;))When using in Cloud 22R1 the Data Migration Manager, deploying the object Suppliers [SUPPLIER_GENERAL_INFO], we face an error when the output container is deployed, during the deployment: "Field [ON_NEW] is mandatory for Deploy Definition Attributes and requires a value.”In the target table definition this field ON_NEW is not available. Has anyone seen this error before and has a solution to fix it? At the moment we can't deploy the data to the target environment.  

We’re getting this error when updating a custom field in Customer_Info_Cfv created/added at data migration.It’s a simple update with just the CustomerNo and the new custom field, MS Set.Any ideas what to correct?
