We are a company at the start of our IFS implementation journey. Looking for templates for data migration of data across many different modules from our many different legacy systems. I’m aware of the Data Migration Tool to perform the migration, but looking for the templates, along with field help for the users populating the Excel sheet.  Does IFS offer something like this?

I am setting up a data migration project for a client running IFS 2004 migrating into Apps 10 UPD8. In the Apps 10 database I have created local VIEWs in a separate schema named IFS2004 using a database link to their IFS 2004 database. This makes it easy to use the FNDMIG input of using a VIEW/TABLE as the data source. Its fast and easy. Does anyone have any pre-built data migration (FNDMIG) jobs for customers, suppliers, etc. that you can export and share (PL/SQL format preferred please)? Your assistance will keep me from having to re-invent the wheel. Thank you for your help!

Hello all, I am getting the error message: class intfaceFile does not exist when trying to select a file, does anyone have any ideas what the issue is please.

We have a number of IALs that update on a schedule and they work great, but there are a few that always get stuck on the Update Status of POSTED.   Once stuck they will not update.  There is no background job associated with the IAL.I can do a manual update and it works fine.Any ideas of what could be happening here?

Dear All, We have 1K plus customer projects that need to be migrated to IFS cloud from legacy application. HiMy customer has installed IFS Cloud on-premise and is using Excel version - Windows Excel : 16.0.5317.1000. The customer has successfully installed the Excel Add In and the Excel IFS icon appears on the excel. But when the customer launches it nothing happens.Just to test in the same laptop we tried installing Office 365 excel and the IFS Excel plugin successfully launched. But is not working with the excel version the customer is using. The customer has no plans to update the excel version and is asking how to make the excel plugin work with the current version.Has anyone of you experienced this issue ? Is there any possibility the customer can launch the excel plugin with the version of excel the customer has.Thank you in advance. RegardsSumit ROY

I am trying to run a migration job to the customer credit limit table. I am using the excel add-in tool. We have to update some customer credit limits in bulk. The problem is the job keeps telling me that I am trying to update the PARTY_TYPE and that I’m not allowed to. I do not care to modify the party type, as it should remain Customer. I have tried to modify the migration job by eliminating the source code (column) for Party_Type and/or Party_TypeDB, and set up defaults as “CUSTOMER’ and ‘Customer’ and all possible combinations of such. No matter what, the system is convinced I am trying to “update” the party type, when all I want to do is update credit limits. Any advice or resources? Hi everyone,I’m unable to use a migration job to input a non-inventory sales parts with JUST a tax class.  If I try, I get the following error… I can however, create one with JUST a tax code.The odd thing is that if you debug the sales_part_api call when using IFS, both tax class AND tax code are supplied i.e. from the debug attr'TAX_CODE'||chr(31)||''||chr(30)||'TAX_CLASS_ID'||chr(31)||'1'||chr(30)|| Can anyone share any light on why this is? 

Community, I have a problem when doing migration job of updating part description. when saving the excel file to text (tab delimited), i can see the double quote is added by the system. please see the attached. after I ran the migration job, i can see the part description is also updated with double quote text. see attached.I am wondering how to fix this issue when updating the part description. Thank you.

Is there a way to take document text  from supplier to purchase part and have it automatically add to new purchose orders?

Not seeing Migration object in the deployment containerI have used the 22R01 template for the DMM.The upload worked fine and all steps went fine until the Output ContainerI was able to approve data in the Output container for the Mig Obj “Customer”Unfortunally in the Deployment conter I can not select the object Customer.Does someone know a way out  ThanksHarald

We found and issue while attempting to migrate PROD_STRUCTURE rows using the Data Migration Manager.In essence, once we reach the Deployment Container screen and when we click on Deploy, nothing gets deployed. Even worse, there is no error message or anything to indicate if the deployment failed or something else is preventing the action to complete.Because a video is easier to show this condition I uploaded this video on YouTube so you can see what exactly is going on. https://youtu.be/5z6YtX-Cz4sAny idea as to what could be happening?

Hello,in the IFS 10 version we used the excel file (input excel). Was such a file created for the CLOUD 22R1 version?if so - can I ask for this file?

I validated the Basic Data while transferring it from the Input Container to the Output Container, and also by the options available in the Output Container. I know that US is a Country Code transferred to the Basic Data Container, still the message is Validation Failed for Country DB. Shouldn’t it be validated Ok? Am I missing any steps?View in Output Container 

Hi,We are looking into different options for migrating data from external systems into IFS Cloud. It is my understanding that the recommended approach is to use the Data Migration Manager component to import data into IFS Cloud via flat file.We are expecting to import a huge number of records into IFS and we are looking for an alternative to flat file import method due to performance impact. Are there any other options for migration? (e.g. external database connection) If not, are there plans on improving this feature in the near future?Any insights will help. Thanks!

Hi All, Do IFS have a document which has the correct object migration sequence?In most cases, Data Migration specialists working on IFS data migration using Data Migration Manager do not know about IFS. So they do not know for example you have to migrate ‘Master Part’ first before migrating an Inventory Part,It would be useful ,If we have a simple document which has the correct order of performing migration for at least commonly used Migration Objects.

Hi,I am using a GIS server to have a map with objects in IFS.I also configured the GIS proxy in IFS but when I have a look at the documentation it says the new config should be populated with a background job called "GISINT - Refresh proxy configuration" but on my systems this job is missing.How can I populate the new proxy configuration and why is this job missing though it is described in the documentation?Thanks for any hint,best regards,Nico

Hi, I would like to update the list price in the view SALES_PART with the data migration. When i try, i have the same message on everyline when i launch the MIGRATE_SOURCE_DATA: ORA-20122: SalesPart.UPDATE: Field [CATALOG_TYPE] in Sales Part may not be modified. The value of [CATALOG_TYPE] is ‘NON’. Is it possible to proceed so ? Thank’s Julien.    

After company Creation from an existing company it gave in the log the following error  using IFS10 with UPD11:ORA-20111: UserFinance.RECNOTEXIST: Access denied! User IFSAPP is not connected to Company KSA022what id the reason and how it can be rectified?Best Regards,Bilal Drayi
