Data Migration

Hi All,“Copy Part” screen seems to only allow us to copy one part at a time, is there a way to bulk copy this? They can’t use migration jobs.Does anyone have scripts handy or a tweak for this? I rather not write it from scratch as there is very limited time for this.

I'd like to know how to register new customer order headers and line items in the same migration job.I have tried this and confirmed that adding CUSTOMER_ORDER and CUSTOMER_ORDER_LINE to the "Method List" tab allows me to update them all at once. However, when I try to insert both the header and line items, I get the error "DEVELOPER_ERROR_03: Most likely a usage definition is wrongly defined for LU: [CustomerOrder] in table RM_ACC_USAGE_TAB, internal exception: [Ex_Get_Id]."  

I want to know how to get the Sales Price List by API. When registering a Customer Orders in the migration job, I want to use the API to retrieve the sales price from the sales price list. Because the migration job does not appear to be referencing the sales price list.

Hi,We have a requirement to create Functional Objects via Migration Job.  The job should also insert Belongs to Object and Contract.In Cloud, while creating Migration Job (tried with Excel and Migrate Source Data) on EQUIPMENT_FUNCTIONAL, the columns SUP_MCH_CODE (Belongs to Object) and SUP_CONTRACT (Belongs to Site) not at all visible in Column mapping.We tried using modify Method to update these columns, but still it is not updating and Migration Job ending with an error as belowAPI Methods used: EQUIPMENT_OBJECT_PARTY_API.Modify__ Also used this method, EQUIPMENT_FUNCTIONAL_API.MODIFY__ , but in both cases it ended with same errorError:ORA-06550: line 1, column 43:PLS-00225: subprogram or cursor 'MODIFY__' reference is out of scopeAny thoughts or idea really helpful on thisThanks,Nishith

Hi, Please could you assist me, we have a factory at work, and we need to be able to display statistics on screens, (multiple screens) without using separate log ins. We don’t need any access to anything other than the data for the lobby view. Is this possible please?

Hello All. I have some data in a flat file where columns A to C are header information and columns D to G represent line information.  Is it possible to use a master/detail migration on this data to import it into IFS as a header and associated lines without manipulating the data further? The data will come from an external system regularly so minimal manual processing of the data is a requirement.  Has anyone done this before and are you able to share the setup/config you have in the migration jobs?

We are trying to migrate Open stock  which I am trying to do using migration job , the data is loaded successfully and can see it under “Inventory Parts in Stock “, what are the next steps to transfer the balance to GL please? I am trying “ Transfer Inventory Transactions “  option but I can’t see any transactions generated ,is there a step in between I am missing here to generate the inventory transactions so that they can be transferred to GL? I can’t see any data under Inventory transaction history as well so looks like I am missing a step here  

Hi .. I was trying to set-up new migration job to update CUSTOMER_INFO_ADDRESS View for changes in address and postcode values. This supposed to update around 17000+ records so i choose to use Procedure “INSERT_OR_UPDATE” from csv file.As soon as i run the job i am getting below error. I did investigated further into this and noticed actual issue is - Address column value holds multiple comma seperators, which seems to be root cause of this. I would like to migrate the field “Tax Liability” with already existents customers. I use IFSAPP account with IFS_ALL rights (and Excel ADD In). Il create a migration Job (I tried with Two jobs migration, insert or update, or Excel Add-in and i have the same result)I start the job and load the file.But when I want to start online, an error message occurs : “Access denied! User IFSAPP is not connected to Company”However, IFSAPP as a user is connected to all sites and companies. The update is allowed in the basic data migration setup. IFSAPP is a user per all the companies.Don’t know why the access is denied...

 I have created a migration job which is used to migrate data into some custom fields in a core table. this included some reference fields as well. I have mapped the objkey for those reference fields and everything seems ok. But when I execute the job, core method get executed and during the execution of the customer method I get the below error. any idea on this ?"ORA-20105: Message.ATTRNOTFOUND: Attribute "SQL" does not exist in message "..."”  

I have a customer who is implementing IFS Cloud 23R1.  Their question: Is there a list of all possible data objects along with their dependencies? For example:  To migrate Shop Orders into IFS, you must first have migrated Inventory Part, Routing, Product Structure, Work Guideline data objects from your source system(s) into IFS.  

Hi,I’ve used Excel Data Migration Tool before. But now I got this problem that when I try Validate or Execute, Excel-Add-In reads everything to the first column. I have a simple example with 2 columns A and B. But Excel-Add-In reads both column A and B to the first column. So the value for column A is getting to long and the value for column B is left empty.Is there some configuration for this. Thankful for ideas.BR,Patric 

Trying to use an External File to migrate a Trial Balance (GL Transactions) from the legacy system to the new Cloud IFS solution.  File conforms to the STDVOU template with semi-colon separated values all matching the individual fields.  We have several different IFS Cloud environments at the moment (since we are in Implementation Phase), but none of them accepts an STDVOU type file and fails with the following Oracle error message:ORA-20115: ExtLoadIdStorage.The "Ext Load Id Storage" has already been removed by another user.Anyone got any ideas?…  we have already been successful in loading External Files using different Templates (ExtFAObjectImport for example), so doesn’t seem to be a generic issue with the environment as such...

Hi Community, I have tried to add the Excel migration Add-in (IFS Excel Add-in - 21.2.0.2) using both Excel windows client and office 365 web client for IFS Cloud. When I click the IFS Excel Add-in icon in the Excel, I am getting the ADD-IN ERROR.For the window client, I have opened the Excel as ‘Run as  Administrator’. so this is not a privilege issue.  Any idea on how to resolve this issue? Best Regards,Kapilan

Does anyone know if there is a limitation on number of rows when migrating using Excel Add-In?I have done a few tests and it seems to be limited to 5000 rows??

Dear all,we are setting up our new PSO environment on ifs-cloud 24.2.2 and want to insert several thousands of customers with their names, adresses and contact information via REST-API calls.Currently we can successfully create the customer via REST-API “…/CustomerHandling.svc/CustomerInfoSet”.How can we add the communication-information via REST (the endpoint …/CustomerInfoContactEntity.svc/CustomerInfoContactSet seems not to be active)?How can we add the Address-information via REST (the endpoint …/CustomerInfoAddressEntity.svc/CustomerInfoAddressSet seems not to be active)?The json structure to POST this data seems to be correct.Best regardsMichael

When migrating project, I want to make use of the Project ID Generation Rules. I leave the project ID in the migrate source job blank, category 1 is filled, Generation rules have been set up for given category 1. All other values are catch all.Still nothing happens when running the migration. So I was wondering which API to call to set the api in the defaul value of the project id, so it would generate the id when migration job runs.Anyone an idea which api to call? I would prefer to know the parameters as well, although less important for now.BTW: rule works perfect when entering a project via the project definition form

At the end of the year we update our labor times on the routings from spreadsheets that are based on actual clockings during the prior year. I was trying to setup migration jobs to handle the entry back into IFS and I’m hitting  a road block on it. Probably missing something trivial. The input file has the site, part number, operation no and the new labor run time. I need to use functions to find the latest revision and to convert the operation no to operation id. From what I’m seeing in the debugger it looks like it isn’t saving the function call results. I'm trying to import current supplier ordersI'm getting the following error: No revision found for inventory part 303406This applies to all products. What I did:1. Imported the order headers: OK2. Added the product-supplier links for the corresponding order lines: OK3.
