Hi All, I’m having an issue with migrating persistent custom fields using the data migration manager. Seems like the objid and version in the deployment container is not passing even if I set it to in scope and  set auto generated flags on.in the deployment container it doesn't show the generated objid and version once the master record is deployed. this is related to part catalog (master part). master record deployed correctly but not the custom fields.  am i missing anything here or do we have any issues migrating custom field data using the DMM ? IFS cloud 24R2 Kind Regards!Niyo 

We are implementing data purging in our Clevest Test environment and need clarificationon the recommended approach before moving to production:Current Setup:- Active Archiving feature- ETL Data Warehouse task running every 15 minutes (non-one-to-one mapping)- Web frontend purging feature availableQuestions:1. Should purging be configured via Archiving or ETL?2. What is the recommended sequence: Archive → Purge → ETL, or another order?3. How do we ensure all source data is captured in the Data Warehouse beforepurging from the source database?4. Hi,We are in middle of upgrading from IFS 9 to Cloud and uplifting all our Migration Jobs. In Cloud, we noticed that the Excel Migration jobs using standard IFS API Methods create a new projection once we update the job and click ‘Re-generate Excel Migration’ option. Granting the projection to the relevant Permission Set allows user to execute the job successfully in Excel.However, the same doesn't happen when we modify Excel Migration Jobs using Custom API Methods as no new Projection appears after clicking Re-generate Excel Migration.When the user tries to run the migration, the attached error occurs:We confirmed the same error for two other Custom API based Excel Mig Jobs.Product Version: 23.1.11

Hi Community,We are currently facing a challenge with our Build environment, which gets reset or vanishes after a certain time frame. As a result, we have to manually reconfigure key master data such as Company, Site, Supplier, and Customer each time.This manual setup is quite time-consuming and repetitive. We do have another environment with the required data already in place, and we are exploring possibilities to move or copy that data into the Build environment.Could you please advise if there is an easier or recommended method to achieve this data transfer efficiently?IFS Version- Cloud 24R1Thank you in advance for your support.

Hi,In the documentation of 25R2 it is mentioned that IFS comes with pre-packaged data migration definitions. These prepackaged migrations should consist of:The definition itself which is available upon manual installation of the PROD components as migration jobs in the form Overview - Migration Jobs An excel spreadsheet that may act as an input container for the data with additional information about fields, formats constraints, etc.I can see the migration jobs are there, but I can't find the Excel spreadsheet the documentation is referring to nor can I find a job that is able to create this. Does anyone more about this Excel spreadsheet?/Michael

Hi All,We are Migrating Employee Records using DMM. As per requirement we would need Person ID to be generated automatically if person id in legacy data is blank, in case if any person id provided in legacy record, then DMM shouldn’t generate the ID. We have enabled Auto Generation feature for Person ID column in PERSON_INFO target table. It is working fine where Person ID is blank in legacy records, but it do generate ID for records where Person ID is not blank. Any feature available to restrict generating the ID incase legacy record have any value passedThanks,Nishith 

Hello, Currently, IFS provides pre-built reports that are hosted in a data lake.My question is whether it is possible to create a dashboard that retrieves and combines data from two different semantic models—for example, integrating Sales and Inventory data into a single report or dashboard.Do we have any existing solution, standard approach, or built-in capability that supports this type of cross-model reporting? 

Hello,I have created successfully a set of migration jobs to create users.Hopefully, the following system parameter is active :The only point which resist is the following : I’d like to automate with another Migration job, the activation of the first login. Making the automate password  as “ to change on the 1st login” is OK, but presently, the user/password fail! Thanks for your help

A customer of has asked whether we can enhance some information displayed in the shop order work-guidelines by including information from a source reference manual.Currently not all operations are contained within a shop order routing or the work-guidelines, however technicians can access these via a Customer RMB into the 3rd party tool as the manuals are not stored in IFS but rather a central repository. The question is therefore is it possible via either Data Migration or IFS connect to fetch source data from an external system and then to insert it directly into the relevant container in IFS Apps10.   The reference needed to be passed between IFS and the source is currently contained on the SO Order Operation as a column.   It is understood that the source is not currently available as xml but rather as structured PDF!.

Has anyone done that already?If possible, how do we do that? How do we handle sequence numbers in DMM? Hello, I am wondering if I am able to export current information source in business reporter and import to QIS for a duplicate source with additional information. I tried the export of original information source as .ins and .xml. When I import however to QIS it does not read the .ins and errors the .xml file.

Hi When updating from 23R2SU4 to 24R1SU2, all of the permissions for the projection of '~MigJobHandling', which is the permissions of the migration job, were revoked. Has anyone else experienced the same problem?・Why are permission revoked when Release Update is applied?・What is the workaround?

I am using the Smart Data Manger concept in IFS Cloud, Navigation : Solution Manager > Data Management > Data Migration Manager > Project Basic Data  DB link is created from IFS Cloud db to fetch data from the Source (tried IFS Apps10 and from FSM Database)But in Project Basic Data - Under connected environment : Database link is listed only if the DB Link source is created from IFSMIG User (Tried both in IFS app10 and in FSM database)But IFSMIG Schema is introduced only from IFS Cloud versions, not available in Apps10 and obviously not available in FSM db, so how do we connect the legacy database of Apps10 or FSM DB?Need assistance on using Smart Data Manager for Data Migration task to fetch data from Apps10 or FSM db.Please confirm if this approach is possible using SDM  DATA Migration :IFS Cloud ← Data from IFS APPS10 or IFS Cloud ← Data from FSM DB

When trying to add employees through New Employment Assistant, upon clicking Finish button, an error message appears that states "The Employee Employed Period already exists." We think this is related to challenges with the DMM Data Migration tool.  The issue has to do with the EMP_EMPLOYED_TIME table. That table has a SEQ_NO field in it that is the primary key and was loaded during data migration. The Aurena client has a reference somewhere to a SEQ_NO that increases by 1 each time we try and save a new employee record. Somehow (possibly through the data migration process), the value in the client came out of sync with the underlying database. If you click save enough times (several thousand based on our load), it will eventually work and go through as the console log shows that each time someone clicks save, the SEQ_NO value in Aurena increments by 1. We need to have a way to reset the SEQ_NO for the EMP_EMPLOYED_TIME table that is stored in the Aurena client and set it to the next v

Hi, I’m currently trying to load some GL entries into IFS Cloud 10, and I’m having troubles with balancing the voucher, and I think it has to do with having very large numbers inside the .csv file that I’m trying to load. I’m including an image below to show that although the column does sum to zero according to excel, I am still getting the balance error when I try to load. There are four entries in this column that are extremely large, for example one of them is “206177399998227” so the .csv file does some formatting to it (scientific notation, showing as ######## if I don’t expand the column, etc.) and I believe this is what is throwing off the load. I was able to load other GL entries that didnt contain these super large numbers with no issues. I think this is more of an excel question, but I wanted to see if anyone here has had similar issues, and if so how were they resolved. Thank you! 

Hello,A repopulate can be accomplished by calling the DataSourcePopulate method on a window or a child table. Doing this on a form window will repopulate the window, and add newly created records and remove deleted records from the record selector. For table windows and child tables new records will be added and deleted records will be removed from the table.Forms can be refreshed by calling the DataSourceRefresh method. This will re-fetch only the record currently selected in the record selector, with its objid. DataSourceRefresh can be called on table windows but that will do a repopulate rather than a refresh.How do I use this in visual studio?

Hi Everyone,In Cloud 25R1, we have 10 companies in one instance, and we are in a process to migrate/carve out one company (for ex: Company A) to a fresh instance and to remove that company (Company A) data from the existing instance.Is there an easy way to achieve this? your suggestions will be very helpful.And an easy way to know the list of screens/tabs which has that Company (Company A) data to be carved out.In other words:Is there a method to get a list of screens pertaining to the company that should be taken into consideration when carving off a company from our current instance and inserting it into a new instance? 

Hi,I am using Data Migration Manager.An error message is generating in the Deployment Container:Template: CUST_ORD_CUSTOMER_ENTError: Field [RECEIVE_PACK_SIZE_CHG] is mandatory for Customer and requires a value.RECEIVE_PACK_SIZE_CHG is not in the Target Table Definition, but RECEIVE_PACK_SIZE_CHG_DB is.RECEIVE_PACK_SIZE_CHG_DB is not mandatory.Has anyone previously come across this and found a resolution?

Hello,I am trying to migrate the Sales Quotation line with a package part and the following error appears:I set up the Line_Item_No as “-1”. I also indicated ORDER_SUPPLY_TYPE_DB and CATALOG_TYPE_DBas “PKG”.I think the cost should be fetched from the existing Package Part Structure.Could you please help
