Question

Price requests sent from different sites

Hi all, need your help with solution design ideas.

Current business process is:

  1. Purchase requisition for a part is created on a Site and Released.
  2. Users start sourcing, but can ask different suppliers to quote deliveries of that part to other sites.
  3. Best offer is chosen with delivery to the site from quotation
  4. PO flow is created

RFQ can have only one site on the header and delivery address. What would be your idea for such sourcing solution?

Create several Requests disconnected from PR and link them with custom field?

Run RFQ site-by-site?

Change business process?

A bit puzzled here.

Thank you!

Hi @AntonP ,

Why are you not able to use the standard IFS flow here. As I understood, you should be able to use it.

A- Purchase requisition for a part is created on a Site and Released.

B- RMB line > Request to Request..

C- Request is created > Mention the suppliers. (since you need to source from internal sites, you can use internal suppliers, which are connected to the sites)

All these suppliers are internal suppliers of different internal sites.

(Users start sourcing, but can ask different suppliers to quote deliveries of that part to other sites.)

D-Release.

Go to the Order Quotation

E- After defining the price and required information. Approve the Quotation. (Best offer is chosen with delivery to the site from quotation)

F- PO flow is created

You can select to create a new PO. No difference whether Internal sourcing (site) or not.

Please tell me whether this is not what you expected.

Thanks.

Hi AntonP,

Vimukthi shown above, you do not have to limit suppliers on the “Request for order Quotation” window only for Suppliers connected to Site mentioned on the header of the window. This Site represents on the header is a mere indication of Site which orders the goods.  So you can include any supplier ( In this case, internal suppliers from different sites ) to bid prices and you can select the best offer subsequently.

I’m trying to understand the business process here.

Is it like sourcing the part demands originating from Site A to be delivered to a different site/address (site B or C) after quoted with External Suppliers?

Or is it more like sourcing the part demand of Site A and to be delivered to the same Site A after quoting with different internal delivery sites (by using Internal suppliers as suggested in the above reply)

Sorry, but it was not all that clear on the description.
