Buying (Procurement, Demand Planner, ASC, SRM)

Hello Everyone, I am trying to setup the basic data to run a Intersite flow. In customer’s scenario, he starts with a Purchase Order and then an automatic customer order will be created. All these involves Internal suppliers and Internal customers. what basic data should be there prior running a flow like this. Thank you in advance.

Do you have experience about Purchase Order Change Order, I just took a first look on that and would like to hear for what purpose it’s used and what are the benefits to use it, or is it so that it’s created automatic when some changes made in PO, so it’s more or less like information. Thanks in advance for your help.

can we return the goods to supplier that has already  been received in our inventory?

Hi,I have previously worked in SAP where POs could be directly outputted from the ERP PO Creation to the vendor’s email, using the vendor master’s populated email address.I love IFS thus far a month in to learning it.  I however am asking if IFS has the same functionality to output POs directly to the vendor’s email address, automatically populated from the populated supplier (vendor master) email address in IFS.The goal is for ease, reduce steps, and save time.  Thanks in advance for your assistance.

Dear All,   I am trying to raise the customer schedule from supplier schedule. This is an inter site transfer. When I am putting the status of supplier schedule transferred. Customer Schedule should be generated but it is not generating. I checked the status of messages in “In Message Lines”, the messages are coming in rejected state. When I check the error text below is the message.   ORA-20124: Error.NULLVALUE: Field [EAN_LOCATION_DEL_ADDR] is a required item because it is a mandatory item for receiving the customer delivery plan, so a value is required.   does anyone where this value should be given.   Thanks   

Event​​ Hi, I am trying to add an info message box for the Customer Order page. But, something prevents the info message box. Error_Sys.Generate_Record is working but Client_Sys.Add_Info does not work. The action will start when an order new state is equal Released. Does anyone know the problem?    

Is there a way to make a Supplier Payment in Advance of the goods being received and which can subsequently be matched to the invoice when the goods are receipted?  There are very limited instances where this is required to be done, nevertheless it would be useful to know if there is a way it can be done in IFS to mitigate the manual monitoring required to confirm the goods have been received after payment.   Many thanks in advance.

Hello,I’m looking into setting up the Intersite automation and have a question. You need to set an Internal Customer and Internal Supplier in the sites. I want to use an existing customer/supplier to do this as we already have that set up, it’s just manual. I can only find an option to “Create Internal Customer/Supplier” in the site, I can’t choose an existing one. Is it possible for me to do this?Thanks,Mike

FMCNA / NxStage has recently began using the "Shipment" application to combine Distribution Order lines and ship goods from one IFS Company to another in the same Application Data Base. When we tried to use the “Create Shipment Invoices”, we received the following error message, “Prepayment based debit invoice line information cannot be modified except for the tax liability date. ORA-20110: CustomerOrderInvItem.PREPAYDEBNOUPDATE”I have been unable to locate a setting that would cause this issue and was hoping someone could explain the error message in an attempt to point us to the issue. We purchase a part from an OEM who always supplies 3 different physical items in a box.  When the box of 3 physical items arrives, we would like to receive 3 separate part numbers into stock, instead of receiving the “kit” part that we ordered from the OEM into stock.  If we try to purchase the 3 individual pieces from the OEM, they charge extra to break out each item into individual pieces.  We need to receive each item into stock individually because the pieces are components on different shop orders. Any Ideas?  Thanks in advance!

I am looking to see if there is a field that will allow us to determine how low the safety stock can get before MRP will issue a req to replenish. For example, if we set the safety stock at 100, do we not want a req to generate for 1 pc every time we dip down to 99. Instead, let’s say that we only want safety stock to replenish when it falls below 50 pcs. Is there a field where we can tell IFS to wait until we are at 50% of safety stock before replenishing? We want to move away from lot size and reorder points on planning method “C” and move to safety stock on planning method “G” but are looking to solve this issue first. I see that there is a field for “Service Rate” - would this perform the function I am seeking? If not, is there a field that will serve that purpose? Thanks - Sarah

Hi Team, I am trying to create following scenario in IFS: Site A Releases Customer order and the set up automatically created a PO for Site B.butIntersite CO doesn't get created for for site B Do I need to enable some setting which will create intersite CO for site B ? Please let me know. Thank you.  

When we find quality issues on parts after they have been inspected and put in stock, how do we cancel the receipt in order to register a new inspection with rejected quantities? We have heard that we have to put the parts back to the arrival location to be able to cancel the receipt, but we cannot move inventory stock to the arrival location again. (not possible to select the arrival location as destination. Or when changing a transport task we can select the arrival location as destination but it is not possible to save since there is no PO reference and we cannot add it manually. We want to achieve:Correct PPM data/quality statistics Ability to send parts back to supplier or scrap Please help us find an approach to this problem.

Hi, I’m hoping the IFS community can help us with a question regarding best practices when changing PO line dates as a result of feedback from a supplier. Below is the scenario: Today is 9/14/2021. We need parts from the supplier by 10/31/2021 based on MRP. This is before the supplier’s lead time of 90 days.Supplier confirms they can deliver parts  to us by 11/15/2021.We confirm the PO line with the Promise Date of 11/15/2021. The PO Line Wanted Delivery Date is still 10/31/2021 based on MRP but this is also the date that prints on the PO to the supplier.  The supplier can only deliver parts by 11/15/2021 as they promised. Should we also change the PO line Wanted Delivery Date to 11/15/2021 to match the supplier’s Promised Delivery Date? Thank you.

Can someone tell me how to add shortcuts to various IFS windows with customized icons? I think you know what I mean

IFS provides the ability to add Document Text to some objects in the database (e.g. Customers, Suppliers, Parts, POs and lines, etc). Having done so, it can be configured (via the Doc Text Administration screen) to inherit though to one or more Output documents. For example, we can add doc text to a part record and configure it to appear on any Purchase Order with a line for that part number.This is very useful functionality, but seems to be limited only a pre-determined set of objects.Is there a way to enable document text against addition object types (e.g. could we add doc text to a site, such that all POs on that site show the applicable phrase?)Also, is there a list of all objects to which Document Text can be added (I couldn't find any such list in the help system?)Thanks in advance for any help!

Hi, I want to add a custom field to the Purchase Requisition Lines view, which is based on two criteria to make the search unique.I've made a Read Only Custom Field with one of the key variables, but make it work for each line I need to add a second variable to my select statement. Hi all,I have linked a customer to a user to register as a B2B customer. When I logged in to the B2B portal with above user, I don’t see the lobby page ‘Order Management For Customers’.What I see is an empty navigator page as below:  What I intend to see is the below page:  When I check the lobby overview, I don’t see any lobby page with client type = ‘Aurena B2B’. I checked the permission sets for the user and user is granted with ‘FND_WEBENDUSER_B2B’. What is the reason I am not seeing this lobby page in B2B portal?  Is it a permission problem or?  Is it due to that the lobby page should be purchased separately or?
