Hello everyone,I would like to validate a behavior related to SLA and Escalation handling in assyst.Scenario: An event was created with an active SLA. The action “Waiting for User Input” was taken. As expected, the SLA clock was paused (clock status = stopped). The SLA has remained paused for several days and is still stopped until today. Despite the SLA being paused, the system triggered: Escalation Level 1 Escalation Level 2 Eventually, the ticket was marked as breached. Important notes: Escalations are handled through the Escalation Manager (internally designed in assyst). No SLA clock resumed during this period. Escalations were triggered while the SLA clock was still paused. After reviewing the database behavior, it appears that escalation trigger timestamps are calculated and stored at event logging time, based on the logged date and SLA escalation definitions. When the SLA clock is later stopped (e.g. via “Waiting for User Input”), those pre-calculated esca
we would like to create our CMDB in AssystWeb too. Here we face the problem of representing the product cleanly so that it can be evaluated well later on. I will illustrate our problem with an example:We have the application Assyst, which uses several technologies: Java 11 and MSSQL 2022. Therefore I created a relationship between the Assyst application and the technologies Java 11 and MSSQL 2022. Java 11 belongs to the product Java from Oracle. MSSQL 2022 belongs to MSSQL from Microsoft. Additionally, the application XY also uses Java 11.I can represent the technologies and products in two ways: Create the products as products in Assyst and maintain the technologies as objects. This results in the lowest maintenance effort and the Explorer view is relatively clean. In this case I would only have to maintain one relationship from the Assyst application to Java 11. Because Java 11 is derived from the product Java, the product assignment would be resolved automatically.Create the technolo
Looking for help based on user feedback regarding our access workflows.Currently we utilize a workflow with 3 stages:-Stage 1: Two tasks for initial account reservation and ad setup-Stage 2: Additional application setup driven purely by dynamic tasks (potentially up to 23)-Stage 3: Final setup for a dynamic task if the user is a physician/clinician-Stage 4: Empty stage to complete process What we’re wanting to figure out is a way for us to not need all of these tasks in a workflow that is so linear and can potentially drag out the provisioning process given the sheer volume that can occur. AN idea was had to offer users ability to bundle an application access request that doesn’t generate a dynamic task but a single standalone request to the applicaiton owner. This way the overall process isnt impaired and the affected/reporting user can get a clear notification for whatever specific application access has been provisioned.Has anyone done something similar that isn’t a workflow but bun

Hi,I’m sorry if this has been answered before, but I could not find any information regarding the deployment of Assyst Enterprise (Assyst server) and Search server in a containerized environment. As I understand, there have been steps taken to allow Assyst to run in a containerized environment such as Kubernetes. However, there does not seem to be much information on how to proceed. The only information on this matter that I’ve found so far is this article from the wiki. The article however is very vague on how to move forward with preparations for such a deployment. There does not seem to be any prepared or easily workable resources within the Assyst installation files from the CDN for deploying Assyst in a containerized environment, nor does the wiki specify where or how to proceed. Are there articles on the wiki regarding this matter that I have yet to find?Considering Assyst is a packaged application with dependencies, one would assume a baseline image file is to be supplied in some ma

Hello. I am wondering if anyone has any experience, or if it is possible to configure assyst to use something other than the shortcode of the assyst user to authenticate to assystWeb. In our environment, we use the AD sAMAccountName as the shortcode for the assyst user account, but because we are authenticating to more than one AD structure, this value is not always unique. We’d prefer to use the email address to authenticate (using Azure SAML), but don’t want to update the shortcodes of all of our assyst accounts. Is there a way to tell assyst to authenticate using the email address or another field, instead of shortcode (for assystWeb only)? I was not able to find any information on this in the wiki or documentation.Thanks.
We are pleased to announce that assyst 24R2 SU6 is now available to download from our CDN. Within this release, Miniconda has been completely removed from the assyst installer, eliminating any dependency on Conda for AI Server installation. This change was implemented due to recent licensing updates from Anaconda Inc. If you use the AI Server, IFS recommends upgrading to a version of assyst that no longer relies on Miniconda (assyst 24R2 SU6 or assyst 25R1 SU2 and later). The release notes can be viewed here

Hello everyone,I am evaluating whether IFS assyst can meet the requirements of a telecommunications company that needs to manage various aspects of its operation. Below are the key elements they need to handle:PoPs (Points of Presence): ~400 Splice and Termination Boxes (CE/CA): ~250,000 Cables: ~250,000 Relations between Cables and CE/CA: ~500,000 Circuits: ~70,000 Customer Ports: ~700,000In addition, within their service activation system, they manage the following related to the OLTs (Optical Line Terminals) that connect customers to the network:OLTs: ~400 Interfaces: ~30,000 Circuits: ~30,000 Available Ports on OLTs: ~3,900,000Furthermore, in Zabbix, which monitors active network devices, there are approximately 10,000 devices. Given this scale, can IFS assyst efficiently support the management of these assets and operations on CMDB? Are there any best practices or additional configurations required to handle such a telecommunications environment?I appreciate any insights or experi

Hi!I have a question about using action templates and referring to custom fields on an event logging form. TLDR: Is there an easy way to get the value and/or shortCode from a specific customField, either by making VTLs in substitution keywords, or directly in an action template? I’m lookint for something similar to how visibility expressions can refer to a custom fields, and if possible how to get a list from multi-select fields. Some context:Today a lot of time is spent on copy-paste from Assyst to Outlook when our IT users have to send email from certain postboxes, such as when comunicating with certain suppliers. We want to recude time spent on copy-paste from Assyst by pre populating most or all of the email from data already entered into an event. In this effort, we want to make action templates that create the emails for easy copy-paste into Outlook, and this template then needs to extract some values from a select set of custom fields. The desired outcome would be a reusable sub
Hello IFS Community,I am struggling with a CSS customization issue and have exhausted my usual solutions. I would appreciate any guidance. My Goal:Apply custom CSS styles to the login and logout pages for both assystMob and assystNETMob.The Problem: My custom CSS is working perfectly on the assystMob login page only but not logout . However, the exact same customization has no effect on the assystNETMob login or logout pages. I have verified in the browser's developer tools that the HTML classes and IDs I am targeting do exist on the assystNETMob pages. I have tried various selectors and !important rules, but after saving and refreshing, nothing changes on the assystNETMob side. My Question:Is there a different process or a specific location for customizing the CSS for assystNETMob compared to the standard assystMob? Are there any known caching mechanisms or build steps required for assystNETMob customizations to take effect?Any insight into the architectural differences or a poin

Hello Community,We’re looking to better understand what accessibility or quality‑of‑life features are available within assystWEB or assystNET, particularly around supporting colleagues who experience accessibility challenges. We’ve received feedback relating to usability and ease of interaction, and would like to know what options currently exist, for example:UI customisation (layout, font size, contrast, etc.) Accessibility or usability toggles Compatibility with assistive technologies (e.g. screen readers, keyboard navigation) Any known configuration settings or recommended practices that improve accessibilityWe’re currently running assyst version 11.8.4.We’d be really interested to hear from the community:What accessibility features you’re using today in assystWEB or assystNET Whether any improvements were achieved through configuration, user preferences, or upgrades Any limitations you’ve encountered, or workarounds that have helped support usersKeen to learn from others’ experience

Hello everyone,RE: Automatic Assignment When Logging Events via assystWEB (IFSCloud, assyst Version 11.8.4)When an Assyst user logs an event via assystWEB, the resulting ticket has both the Assigned Service Department and Assigned User fields left blank. The default available action is “Reassign Event.”We would like to understand whether this behaviour can be configured so that, when an event is logged via assystWEB, the Assigned Service Department and Assigned User are automatically populated with the service department and user account that is currently logged into assystWEB. Reassignment would then be performed only where required as a secondary action. The expected exception to this behaviour is where an End User logs a ticket via assystNET (self‑service portal). In that scenario, we would expect the existing service catalogue–driven default assignment logic to remain unchanged, allowing Service Desk staff to triage and reassign tickets as part of normal self‑service handling.
