In the Astea Browser we can right click on a line in Installed Item and create a new Service Order (or other action) 

Is it possible to do something similar in v15.4 Web Employee Portal (I do not yet have a test environemnt for this)? I can’t find anything in 15.2

Sorry, this functionality was only in the Astea Browser, not the Web Employee Portal.  I also just checked if possible to do this 15.4.2 (no).

Hi Phil, we have also a customer which is using this process. Do you think to add an action button (which will allow you to create service order/customer support) like you have in the general queue would be doable ?

After a discussion with R&D, this can likely be done by one of your developers but only from within the installed item module after the selection of the item.  It may not be possible from the QBE as was done previously without framework support.

In any case, this functionality is not planned to be added back into the QBE screen for the installed item as standard so it would have to be a local change request to the code.

 


This indeed is very bad.

IFS product development should validate with their customers what is critical and what isn`t. It is our basic process: find the equipment through installed item module and create a service order.
