Curious to get feedback from other Operators who are using the Flight Disruption functionality in Maintenix.  Southwest uses other sources and means to record and track delays and cancels but we are exploring doing this within Maintenix and I was interested in getting feedback from those currently using this functionality.Best Regards,Shon Creese 

I was trying to find the Release Schedule for IFS Maintenix but couldn’t find it.I found the master article for release schedule that is tagged as a related topic. However, this article didn’t contain any information regarding when SP6 and SP7 is planned to be released.

Is it possible to integrate MAINTENIX and SAP for Maintenance Crew management? The Crew Roster is managed by SAP and I was wandering if the data can be imported to Maintenix for Maintenance Crew Management.

When engineering users flag N/A more than 20 A/C at same time on   INITIALIZE REF DOC page generates "error message", which is in fact a "message built by IFS due to technical limitations "URL exeeded the maximum lenght".Please see attached docDoes other airlines have the same experience?If Yes, an IDEA could be raised to support a system improvement for Large fleet administration.

A few years ago, IFS (A&D) embarked on building up an aircraft configuration manager application that was intended to work  to help keep operators up to date with manufacturer IPC changes (among other things).  I do not see it in the product catalog (partner portal) yet.  Is there more information available for it somewhere?

Hi AllI’m a beginner of IFS Cloud MRO and IFS Maintenix, and confusing with the relationship between them.   In other words, I want to know what kind of customer business these two solutions can handle, and what kind of customer need to use one of them or both of them.   Thank you so much!

Southwest Airlines will soon be assigning seats, so the need to track inop seats at the actual seat number will be critical.   Currently, we track seats for each row, not at the individual seat number.  When we have a fault or an MEL, the seat in question is notated in the fault description, but we have no means of being able to select the actual seat.  How do other operators, that assign seats, track inop seats in Maintenix?  Are your seats currently tracked to the individual seats?  

Do other operators have a way they prevent the purchase and receipt of banned parts? Specific inventory at the P/N and S/N level.

We are trying to identify which assets are in a kit for a Jasper Report. We wish to exclude inventory that is in a kit from the Total Stock Holding.Thanks for any advise.

Hello,When I use an Activity and set the Action to "Update" for a recordset, I encounter an error that has the following statement:"A-20110: SerialOperLog.NOMODIFY: Modify not allowed. Use Serial_Oper_Log_Util_API.Calculate_Serial_Oper_Log"It should be stated that this is a recoredset that I can successfully read from.I would like guidance on how to proceed.If I use an Activity and set the Action to "Call",  then set the "API Name" to "Serial_Oper_Log_Util_API" as the error would suggest I do, I get an error ..."Metadata for requested projection resource [Serial_O per_Log_Util_API] is not found."And here is the screen showing the data I am trying to enter using a workflow…   Here is the Activity from the Workflow that generates the error…  …  if I adjust the Activity to be of Action “Read” I can successfully read the records. Another part of this question is how to find out what options I have for entering in a “Call Name”, when I set the Action to “Call” and I do know the “API Name”.

As everyone knows, doing anything ADHOC in Maintenix creates multiple “behind the scenes” issues that cause massive data base clean up to have to take place.  However, the question arises: how do you remove batched inventory from the system when it is not used on an actual aircraft?  An example of this is when a bowser is serviced, oil and filters are used to maintain the bowser.  These items would not be issued to an aircraft, as they are not used on an aircraft.  This leaves the airline with two choices: a) do an ADHOC issue or b) adjust out the stock.  As mentioned above, if an ADHOC issue is performed, this can often times create an ADHOC request that never closes.  It is not obviously seen, so you typically find it when a station keeps receiving stock from the main supplier location for an item they already have plenty of stock on. If the Stock Adjustment is the preferred method, for ATI, we only have just a certain few individuals that have the ability to adjust out stock, as we

Hi,Would like to get ideas on how Maintenix users in Organisations handle inventory with calendar based on-wing tasks that go overdue whilst on shelf.I believe this would affect any organisation using Maintenix for components with/without a supply solution. When inventory has an overdue task, a Maintenix job changes the status REPREQ. The supply department would suspect the inventory requires repair, (in our business requires back-office review for each part to consider) The inventory cannot be issued or electronically fitted by the maintenance repair organisation without this back office support to clear or overrun the task. The maintenance repair organisation maybe now subject extra work without notification, this is depending on how your business handles overdue tasks. In our business we need to have the units RFI. Southwest Airlines is curious how other operators manage tracking of locked-out/tagged-out (LOTO) within Maintenix.  Specifically, do you have a method to track which circuit breakers have been locked out during a check, including who locked it out and for what task, or do you handle that externally?Sincerely,Shon Creese 

Hi all, Apparently it is not possible to connect a purchase order line with demand code ‘interim order’ to a project activity. Only demand codes Inventory Order and Non-Inventory Order are allowed to connect. Is there a reason why this works this way? Trying to figure out the implications this might have. Is there some kind of workaround that I am missing? 

We would like to know end of life and end of support for Maintenix 8.1-SP3, but are unable to locate lifecycle dates for this version.Is there a resource that states EOL/Support dates for Maintenix v8.1? 

Southwest is currently working through demoting of parts.  We are wondering if any other carries have any feedback on demoting parts when any of following apply:Managing demotion of a part when in multiple part groups and/or TRK slots Updating open ROs after performing a part demotion  Active task definition  Open Borrow orders  

SWA has noted that you cannot find BATCH part-number based tasks while using the Task Search function. We see that if a task has been completed that you should be able to find it via the Task Search. We were able to see the task completions while reviewing the parent Requirement and Inventory details history. Do any other operators have a better way to search for BATCH, P/N based requirement tasks?

currently the software consider Engine and airplane as different assembly. However, there are manufacturer tasks for engine assy but followed airplane Flight cycle and flight hour which require to be created on airplane assy. But there is an issue that during engine removed from an airplane installed back the scheduling require manual intervention.  please is there anyone who experience this problem? and some sort of solution as well.

Southwest Airlines is interested in understanding how other operators setup tool kits in Maintenix and provide visibility to batch tools that are included in these kits.  We set up Tool kits as assemblies since Maintenix does not have tool kitting capability, and an assembly approach was the best choice provided by IFS at the time.  Tool kits WILL show serialized tools as children of kits, however batched “TOOLS” i.e. sockets, extensions, etc. are NOT showing in kits because they are issued out of stock to be put into the kit.  Batched inventory is never shown as installed on assemblies.The issue we are having is that Technicians do not have visibility to inventory that is contained in these kits.  We often have to AOG parts, when in reality the inventory was in kits that were in stock.  Southwest Airlines is curious how other operators are managing this gap in functionality.  We are at creating an external database to track the batch parts contained in a tool kit, but this is not idea
