What is a Hero?Let’s start with what a hero is - someone who is admired for their achievements, noble qualities, and courage. Ultimately, we see them as someone who helps others. So, what is an IFS Hero?An IFS Hero is someone who helps the community. They’re members of our community who offer advice, help with solutions, and share their knowledge and expertise. They make this community a resource; a place to come when you need help. How do you become a Hero?Joining the community gets you started. Welcoming others, asking questions, and participating in conversations gets you closer. Offering advice, answering questions, and having others notice and recongize your contributions gets you to hero status. But that’s not the end of it - afterall, there are SuperHeros …
This article describes how you can add images and videos to your post. Upload imagesYou can upload images from your pc to your post by clicking on the small photo icon in the text editor: All common file formats for images are supported (.png, .jpg, .gif)After a successful upload, you can either leave the image in the attachment, or you can choose to embed it into your post. To do so, simply enter it at the part of the post where you would like to have the image embedded. Embed videosAdding videos to your post can be done by clicking on the 3 dots in the top right corner, from there please select “Embeded media” You can add videos from Youtube, Vimeo and Dailymotion.Note: Please paste the original video url, not e.g. the url for embedding videos.Regards,The Community Team
If you made a mistake while writing your post, or if you simply want to add more information, then you can do this by following these steps:Please go to the post which you would like to change. Hover your mouse over the three dots on the right bottom corner, and click on "Edit":Note: When you are new to the community, the time in which you can edit a post is limited to 60 minutes. Users with a higher rank have no limit for editing their posts. Should there be private information in your post which you would like to see removed, please report the topic to a Moderator. It could be that some people, working from home, does not have a big nice screen, and especially not multiple screens as some have at work. Some are surely working on their laptops. Something that is important then is “screen real estate.” Here is how to remove “cruft” on the screen, and how to enable full-screen mode. Enable full-screen mode by pressing F11. By default, the menu bar is hidden (which is good if you have little room on the screen). Press and release the Alt key to show it. Keep the IFS navigator hidden, and use the shortcut panel instead. Learn the keyboard shortcut Shift+Ctrl+F to show and focus the navigator filter. (press Escape to close it again) Show and hide the Attachments section using Ctrl+2 (the other context panels can be opened and closed using the numbers 1 and up.) In general, learn the standard keyboard shortcuts. If you are using a laptop, perhaps you have now mouse and are using the trackpad and the keyboard might be a more efficient alternative. Some f
You've probably noticed that you receive an email-notification when someone replies in a topic which you have started / been active in. This is a tutorial to explain how to turn off these notifications.General settings for notificationsYou receive notifications of topics or subforums which you have selected as Favorites. Topics you have started are set as Favorites by default, but you can change this in the settings on your Profile page, found here:Note: This will not unsubscribe you when you have subscribed to an entire subforum. Should you receive notifications for new topics in a specific subforum, then you will have to visit this subforum and click on "unsubscribe" in the top right corner in the subforum overview.Unsubscribe to specific topicsYou can also do this for an individual topic by clicking the Subscribe button at the bottom of the post. How to Report Inappropriate Content to a ModeratorIf you come across a topic, content or comment that you believe should be reported, please follow these steps:Click on the three dots at the bottom right of the post. Select "Report" from the dropdown menu. An external link was removed to protect your privacy.
